REVIEW: A SEAL POSSESSED by Elisa Leigh is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, erotic, romance novella found in the multi-authored REAL HOT SEAL anthology. This is thirty-eight year old US Navy SEAL Jason Scott, and veterinarian Tessa Stark’s story line. A SEAL POSSESSED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tessa and Jason) A SEAL POSSESSED follows the building romance and relationship between thirty-eight year old US Navy SEAL Jason Scott, and veterinarian Tessa Stark. Upon his release and retirement from the US Navy Jason Scott embarks on a new adventure in Oakridge Valley, a quiet town mostly inhabited by former military men and women but Jason never expected to find his own happily ever after in the form of veterinarian Dr. Tessa Stark, a woman who stirs something deep within our story line hero. Tessa Stark’s first marriage died an horrible death, and the ensuing time Tessa struggles with issues of low self-esteem and ideations of failure. A plus sized woman, Tessa battles with her weight , and the belief she is not worthy of her own happily ever after. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Tessa and Jason, and the potential fall-out as Jason battles between head and heart with the possibility of losing it all.

The quick building relationship between Tessa and Jason is one of immediate attraction but Jason must ‘pass’ the requirements to live in Oakridge Valley. As most of the people are former military members, all must be approved and accepted by the people in charge. Tessa has been burned in the past, and struggles with issues of trust where is concerns her attractiveness, beauty and ability to be loved but Tessa is surprised that Jason has accepted her body and soul, a body that may fail when she wants it the most. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

We are introduced to Tessa’s step- sister Presley, and her father Colin, as by way of memories from the past Jason’s mother, father and his brother Jake.

A SEAL POSSESSED is a quick read; a story of family and relationships, struggle and trust, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is engaging but felt a little rushed; the romance is seductive; the characters are struggling and trying to succeed.
