Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Mercy and Xavier, MONSTER WITHOUT MERCY follows Xavier Hollow as he attempts to break the curse invoked by his father. Xavier has three days to take the life of Mercy Josephine but there are others racing to take her life before our story line hero. Mercy Josephine has no idea she has been targeted by the supernatural world but a fundraising auction features Mercy as the ultimate prize. What ensues is the building but struggling relationship between Mercy and Xavier, and the potential fall-out when Xavier becomes the target of a desperate man.

This is single mother/café owner Felicia Cleaver and former Army Ranger , DEA agent Jeremy ‘Edge’ Mulberry’s story line. SHARP EDGE can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order. The SECURITY OPERATIONS GROUP BRAVO is a spin off, set in the Moon Lake Protectors series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers

Told from dual first person perspectives (Felicia and Jeremy) SHARP EDGE follows rekindling relationship between our story line couple. Approximately seven year earlier Felicia Cleaver and Jeremy Mulberry spent one glorious night together but Felicia ghosted Jeremy the next morning, neither one knowing the other’s name. Fast forward to present day, Jeremy Mulberry is in town for work, and comes face to face with his one-night stand, the woman he never forgot, a woman running from an abusive ex but Jeremy’s life is about to come full-circle when he discovers the woman bore his son, a child he knew nothing about. The relationship between Jeremy and Felicia began as a one-night stand in which neither one knew anything about the other. Seven years would pass before they would come face to face, seven years in which neither one forgot about the other. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters from both of the aforementioned series- SECURITY OPERATIONS GROUP BRAVO and the Moon Lake Protectors series. There is definite camaraderie and friendships, as well as familiarity between the the characters from both series.

SHARP EDGE is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, forgiveness and love. The premise is intriguing, engaging and exciting; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are desperate and dynamic.

REVIEW:Best Friend Temptation is the fourth installment in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series. Ashley always, I recommend reading the series in order, but the majority of CAR’s books can be read as a standalone. Think of this book as a best friends fall in love meets why choose sweet romance. If you’re a reader into that, well this is gonna be right up your alley!

Noah and Ford are best friends and roommates, but are completely in love with one another, but they’re men, and can’t see what’s in front of them. Neither can understand that they want one another, not until her.

Greer is the newbie in town, after opening her bakery in town she is on top of the world. That is until her house burns down and she is left with nothing but ashes. Noah and Ford are friends of hers and when she calls them for help afterwords, she is beyond grateful. Then they offer her their spare bedroom, and then things take a twist. Greer thinks Noah and Ford and together, and they are , but they just can’t seem to get that figured out. They want to be together, but Noah keeps pulling back. When the tension finally breaks between the three of them, they finally give into their desire and WOW!

CAR never disappoints with her books and this is no different. I love this series, the Montgomery’s are a family that sticks together. Noah, Ford and Greer are a fun, intriguing, faced passed and real. I can’t wait to see what comes next next.

REVIEW:A new author and a new series (this is book three) it stands on its own and doesn’t need you to read books one and two.

Celestine “Celie” has never known anything but her life, it’s not stopped her from wanting more and trying to get a better life. Celie is 1/4 black (today that is nothing, but in the 1800’s that wasn’t either colour, and so women who were of a mixed race were “kept” by white men as mistresses!)

Caleb “Cal”, is a man on a mission! He’s also pretending to be something he’s not! A British man in New Orleans in this period is definitely not welcome, so he needs to keep his cool and his head down….

It’s almost love at first sight for Cal, meeting Celie has him in a trance, his friend warns him to be careful, but Cal must have this magical creature.

They tiptoe around each other and their feelings, both hiding who they really are. Can Cal convince Celie that he wants more than her being his mistress. And will Celie forgive Cal when she finds out that he’s not really who he says he is?

A period drama/action/romance is always a firm favourite with me. And this author is a new one. This book is the third one in the “Duchess Series”, I’ve not read the other two, but if they are as good as this one then at some point I’ll go back and read (but I’ve added them to my TBR list ?)

I also liked that there is a second story (and the reason why Cal is in New Orleans) in the book. There is drama, action, voodoo and of course the romance.

I love the history part of this book, it added something to the story. I like it when history is wrapped up in the romance.

So if you’re looking for a romance with a historical touch, then grab The Creole Duchess now.

This is Spook aka Country aka Henry, and Heather ‘Raven/Wildfire’ Sturges’ story line. Heather is the daughter of Macon Sturges. SPOOK’S POSSESSION can be read as a stand alone but for back story, the author recommends reading DEVIL’S RIDE, VIOLENT BONES and JIGSAW’S BLAYDE. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s ROYAL HARLOTS series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Spook and Heather) using dual time lines, SPOOK’S POSSESSION focuses on the relationship between our leading couple. At sixteen years of age, Spook was ‘rescued’ by our story line heroine. A target of bullies, Spook struggled since his arrival in Tonopah, Nevada but never expected to find his savior in our story line heroine but Spook’s past refuses to let go, and in an effort to save his life, Spook disappears for close to two years . Fast forward, Spook returns to the woman he loves only to be pushed away without a second chance. Concerned about what was happening and why Spook would spend another eight months worried about the woman with whom he had fallen in love until their pasts collide, changing Spook forever. What ensues is the building relationship between Spook and Heather, and the potential fall-out when the past collides with the present, threatening someone they love.

The world building focuses on child human trafficking, abuse and revenge. As an MC princess, Heather is well aware of the life style including the bad with the good but our heroine has experienced some of the worst people in the world, and the past is about to collide with the man that she loves. Meanwhile, Then RBMC Tonopah NV is a supernatural club, headed by Lucifer Morningstar, and Spook is about to get up close and personal with the man in charge.

The relationship between Heather and Spook begins three years earlier when Heather saves the life of the man with whom she will fall in love. Spook’s past continues to control his presents but falling for Heather is one of the happiest times of his life. Spook knows Heather is the only woman he will ever love but demons from the past refuse to let go for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Heather’s father Macon, her cousin Micah, Uncle Hale, RBMC president Grim, Patriot, Wraith, Mammoth, as well as Royal Harlot’s Georgia. The requisite evil has many faces.

SPOOK’S POSSESSION is a story of power and control, abuse and torture, betrayal and vengeance, madness and obsession, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is fated; the characters are flawed, determined and dynamic.
