Review:

Love Me by Christmas by Jaci Burton is a standalone Christmas novel.  This is a wonderful emotional quick romance that takes place during the Christmas holidays.   As usual with Jaci Burton, she is able to give us a wonderful couple, with a heartbreaking and heartwarming storyline, and always manages to pull on our emotions.

Ellie Washington, our heroine, hates the Christmas holidays.  5 years ago, her husband died in an accident, leaving her alone and pregnant.  Ellie, a nurse, has lived in her brother in-law’s house during these 5 years and both she and her son have become very comfortable.

Nick, our hero and Ellie’s brother in-law has spent these years helping Ellie pick up the pieces of her life, as well as helping to take care of her son (Henry), whom he loves as his own.  Nick makes plans to go buy a tree for Christmas, taking Ellie and Henry.  Of course, Ellie no longer likes the holidays, but forces herself to participate since Nick and her son love it.  Ellie begins to look at Nick in a different light, as she is feeling an attraction to him, beyond the comfortable friendship they always had between them.   She feels guilty, that perhaps Nick needs to start living his own life, and not worry about them; so she tries to set him up with women from her job.

Nick brushes off the women, and realizes that it is Ellie who is setting him up.  When he confronts her, she expresses her guilt, and he tells her he is only interested in her, which opens them up for both of them to act on their lust for each other.   Nick will soon tell Ellie he loves her, but though she knows she feels the same, Ellie is ridden with guilt that she is betraying her husband; even if 5 years has passed.

Love Me by Christmas was a sweet, emotional and heartwarming story.  Jaci Burton does a fantastic job of pulling on many emotional moments, which includes happiness, love, fears, anger, tragedy, recovery, as well as sensual.  If you enjoy a beautiful romance, and a quick read, then look no further then Jaci Burton’s Love Me by Christmas.
