REVIEW: I have read and review the following short stories

INHERITANCE (Wealth) by Amelia Wilde

INHERITANCE is an erotic, short story (four chapters) told from dual first person perspectives focusing on Charlotte and Mason Hill from the author’s WEALTH trilogy, and takes place sometime before the author’s POWER PLAY series focusing on Mason’s brother Gabriel.

Charlotte Hill is pregnant and her husband, billionaire business Mason Hill struggles with the what-ifs- what-if he faces the same demise as his parents, murder at the hands of The Consortium. Battling between head and heart, Mason must ensure his wife and his child will be protected in case he isn’t around to watch them grow.

INHERITANCE is a fast paced, story of family and love. The premise is engaging; the characters are captivating.

LAYING LOW : The Disciples 2.5 by Cassandra Robbins

LAYING LOW is an erotic, short story (one chapter), told from first person perspective (Jason), focusing on club president Jason ‘Blade’ McCormick, and his ol’ lady Eve Smith, found in Cassandra Robbins’ DISCIPLES MC series. Blade and Eve’s story can be found in book one LETHAL. LAYING LOW falls between book two ATONE and book three REPENT

Jason and Eve are preparing for a romantic holiday in Hawaii when news comes about a change of plans when threats against the MC come to their front door. An erotic ride in a rented RV follows our couple as they ‘lay low’ until the danger has passed. Not a fan of a certain four-letter word used liberally throughout the short story.

TAKE ME NOW (Knight Brothers 3.5) by Carly Phillips

TAKE ME NOW is an erotic short story (five chapters), told from third person perspective) found in Carly Phillips KNIGHT BROTHERS erotic, romance series. TAKE ME NOW focuses on childhood friends auto mechanic Matt Banks and coffee barista Harper Sanders.

Matt Banks has been in love with Harper Sanders for as long as he can remember but Harper’s brother Noah, an US Marine, has warned Matt to stay away but Harper needed help when her car broke down on the way to a weekend seminar, and Matt was the first person Harper called. Staying together at the hotel meant taking their friendship and relationship to the next level, a relationship that was about to turn into something more.

TAKE ME NOW is a story of second chances, of a sorts between childhood best friends separated by a well-meaning older brother. The fast paced premise is entertaining; the romance is seductive and erotic; the characters are determined and dynamic.

WITHOUT PAUSE OR GUILT (Hunting Her 6.5) by Eden Summers

WITHOUT PAUSE OR GUILT is an erotic, short story (four chapters) focusing on crime lord Cole Torian and, his fiancée former FBI agent Anissa Fox, found in Eden Summers’ HUNTING HER series. Cole and Anissa’s story begins in book three Torian. WITHOUT PAUSE OF GUILT takes place approximately six months after the events of book six COLE.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Anissa and Cole) WITHOUT PAUSE OR GUILT focuses on the search for the truth. A one-time friend and fellow FBI Agent Anthony Easton has professed his love for our story line heroine, and is determined to destroy her relationship with the man that she loves but Easton has a warning, a warning about someone Anissa once loved. A meeting in secret threatens Anissa’s relationship with her fiancé Cole, and Cole ensures Anissa never again places her life in danger. Once again, not a fan of a certain four-letter word.

WITHOUT PAUSE OF GUILT is a story of deception, secrets, lies and obsession. The premise is intriguing; the romance is erotic and intense.

EMBER IN THE HEART by Samantha Young

EMBER IN THE HEART twenty-five year old, single father and real estate investor Foster Darwin, and thirty-six year old massage therapist/business owner Ember Bonet. EMBER IN THE HEART was originally released in the author’s LOVE STORY: A Novella Collection.

Foster Darwin met Ember Bonet at his best friend and partner’s engagement party, an engagement to Ember’s sister Jade but the meeting between Ember and Foster didn’t go according to plan, and Ember would soon discover that her new neighbor was none other than Foster Darwin. Foster Darwin is a snob, and constantly looked down his nose at our story line heroine but when he needed help with daughter, Ember was quick to jump in and help. Falling for his daughter’s temporary ‘nanny’ was out of the question but fall he did, if only for a short period of time.

EMBER IN THE HEART is an age-gap romance wherein Foster Darwin is unable to let go of his snobbish upbringing, and in doing so, hurt the woman with whom he would fall in love. The premise is emotional and heart breaking; the romance is seductive; the characters are feisty and energetic.
