This is successful businessman and CPA Garrett McKinley, and florist Lauren Davies’ story line. SEX GOD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person points of view (Lauren and Garrett) SEX GOD follows the friends to lovers relationship between Marfa, Texas’s lone florist Lauren Davies, and businessman Garrett McKinley. Six years earlier, upon the death of his father, Garrett McKinley took over the family business and made it the successful firm it is today. Garrett never wanted to remain to Marfa, Texas but for the woman he has loved for most of his life. Enter Lauren Davies, his best friend, and the woman that calls to his heart-a heart that wants to leave Marfa, Texas for bigger and better ideas.

Garrett McKinley has a reputation as a ‘sex-god’; a one night stand kind of guy who is desperately attracted to his best friend Lauren. Months earlier following a less than stellar night of sex with Lauren, the two have struggled with their friendship and love. Garrett wants a do-over with no strings attached; Lauren wants something more from the man that she loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive.

The secondary and supporting characters include Blake Dempsey and Honey Carmichael (Sex Machine #1), as well as Matt and Julie first introduced in Blake and Honey’s story line; police chief Brock Hernandez, and Scarlett. I am hoping for a story between Brock and Scarlett. The requisite evil is a man from Lauren’s past that is determined to prove he is still in control.

The world building continues to look at the friendships, relationships and loves of a tight knit group of friends and family in Marfa, Texas.

SEX GOD is a sexy read; a provocative and sexy story about two friends who are fated by life and love; an intimate look at friendship, life and passion. The premise is delightful; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is spicy and captivating. SEX GOD is a lighthearted and sensual story by Marie Force.
