WIFE WANTED.

Something compelled me to reply, and with every email we exchanged, I fell harder for Cash Smith.

Only my new husband isn’t what I expected. He watches me, silent and hungry, like he wants to own every part of me. And when he shares that he’s never been with a woman, I’m determined to show him his raw hunger for me is exactly what we both need.

But he’s still guarding his heart—and when secrets are revealed, our fragile love is threatened. How can I build a future with my solitary man, when our beginning was built on lies?

REVIEW:SOLITARY MAN is the third instalment in Sherilee Gray’s contemporary, adult SMITH BROTHERS erotic romance series focusing on the Smith family who live and work in the Colorado Rockies. This is pilot and builder Cash Smith, and erotic romance writer Riley Lewis’s story line. SOLITARY MAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Cash Smith is the cousin of Hank and Beau (Smith Brother 1 & 2).

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cash and Riley) SOLITARY MAN follows the building relationship between pilot and builder Cash Smith, and erotic romance writer Riley Lewis. Like his cousin Beau, Cash Smith placed an online ad looking for a wife never expecting to fall in love but Cash’s online ‘dating’ with Riley Lewis was built upon a lie, a lie Cash believes will destroy any chance of a future with the woman with whom he is falling in love.

Riley Lewis is on the run, running from a past that refuses to let go. Marrying Cash Smith gave Riley a chance for a future but Cash’s inexperience and his continuous withdrawals finds our heroine struggling to believe if there is any future between them. Cash Smith has no experience with the opposite sex, in fact, our hero has no idea where to begin, or how to act with our story line heroine. If not for his cousin Landon Smith, Cash believes Riley would never have agreed to marry.

The relationship between Riley and Cash begin as an online meeting when Riley replied to an ad for a wife. Believing Cash was a talkative, romantic at heart Riley will quickly learn that the man that she married is not the man with whom she had been having an online relationship. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Cash’s cousins Hank and his wife Birdie (Mountain Man #1), Beau and his wife Freya (Wild Man #2), their cousin Landon Smith, as well as the numerous children between the original brothers.

SOLITARY MAN is a quick read; a story of family, loneliness, desperation and love . The familiar premise is entertaining; the romance is sensitive and imaginative; the characters are charming.

Hank Smith saved my life, carrying me through a blizzard to his mountain cabin. He doesn’t like strangers, and he doesn’t like leaving his sanctuary. Now I’m trapped here with him until the snow melts.

I see him looking at me. He tries to hide behind a gruff exterior, but I see the longing and the heat burning in his eyes. I know he wants me, and I can’t resist him. I want to feel those big, rough hands all over my body.

But once he’s unleashed his raw, barely tried desire on me, will I be able to leave my mountain man behind, or will he make me his?

REVIEW:MOUNTAIN MAN is the first instalment in Sherilee Gray’s contemporary adult SMITH BROTHERS erotic, romance series of novellas. This is twenty –seven year old Hank Smith, and library employee Birdie Winters’ story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Hank and Birdie) MOUNTAIN MAN follows the building relationship between twenty –seven year old Hank Smith, and Birdie Winters. Like his twin brother Beau, Hank Smith lives alone on the side of a mountain but an injured hiker finds Hank rescuing Birdie Winters, the woman with whom our hero will fall in love. What ensues in the quick building romance and relationship between Birdie and Hank, and the potential fall-out as Birdie’s time on the mountain draws to a close.

Hank Smith has lived alone most of his adult life having very limited experience with the opposite $ex. With Birdie Winters by his side, our hero quickly succumbs to passion and the art of seduction, falling for the woman who is about to break his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Hank’s brother Beau, but otherwise, the story line focuses on our couple and nothing else.

MOUNTAIN MAN is a quick read; a story of intense attraction, and one man’s fantasies that have come true. The world building and character building are limited although Hank discovers that life without Birdie is painful and wrong. The fast paced premise is entertaining; the romance is spicy; the characters are colorful and energetic.

Sherilee’s always had a big (some say warped) imagination, and as a kid scared herself conjuring up horror stories full of ghosts and other terrifying creatures. She never dreamed of actually writing down any of those wonderful imaginary people or places, not until many years later when her sister introduced her to the wondrous world of romance novels, and her very large book collection.

She’s pleased to say, she still has the big imagination… only now her characters are chasing their happily ever after.

Sherilee Gray is a kiwi girl and lives in beautiful New Zealand with her husband and their two children. When she isn’t writing sexy, edgy contemporary and paranormal romance, searching for her next alpha hero on Pinterest, or fueling her voracious book addiction, she can be found dreaming of far off places with a mug of tea in one hand and a bar of Cadburys Rocky Road chocolate in the other.
