Look, I had a rough week at work. So I put on a bikini and escape to the beach, where I wind up rescuing the city’s hot new quarterback from a rogue paddleboard, and then he rescues me that night from a s-e-x drought.
Hello O-Town. Nice to see you!
The charmer with the magic hands wants another date too, and I say yes so fast.
But the thing is I’m the team lawyer for The Mercenaries. And the morning after the sexiest night of my life, I find out the guy I plan to see again was just traded to our team.
Dating the brand spanking new star quarterback?
Off-limits.
Especially when my boss blindsides me with this twist – I’m in charge of managing his reputation.
I really shouldn’t invite him over late tonight then.
Truly, I shouldn’t.

REVIEW: TWO A DAY is the fourth instalment in Lauren Blakely’s contemporary, adult BALLERS AND BABES erotic, sports romance series. This is quarterback Andrew ‘Drew’Adams and team attorney Brooke Holland’s story line. TWO A DAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Drew and Brooke) TWO A DAY follows in the wake of a one-night stand between our leading couple. As the attorney for the professional football team The Mercenaries, Brooke knows the true identity of her one-night stand but she was heart broken when he never called. Brooke Holland is appointed the team attorney for both professional sports teams owned by Carlisle Enterprises including The Mercenaries, but to Brooke’s astonishment, her one-night stand, Andrew ‘Drew’ Adams is the new quarterback for the Mercenaries in the wake of a player injury, the team for which she is hired to represent. Knowing that a relationship between Drew and Brooke may be frowned upon, our couple agree to go their separate ways but separating is difficult when they find themselves pulled together at every opportunity. Management and social media will ultimately get wind of their romance, and management pushes for more public displays of affection in an effort to boost fan morale but all does not go according to plan when an L in the loss column pushes Brooke out of Drew’s life, an loss Drew blames on the woman he loves. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Drew and Brooke, and the fall-out as Brooke is pushed to the side for the sake of the game.

The relationship between Drew and Brooke is one of immediate attraction. Our couple met on the beach, and the sparks ignited an immediate flame, a flame that must be hidden from management and friends. Brooke knows that to get involved with one of the players could mean the end of her career but our couple were willing to risk their hearts for more time together. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Drew’s teammates, his family, as well as Brooke’s sister Cara.

TWO A DAY is a fast paced, energetic story line of secrets, attraction, love and rejection. The premise is captivating but very predictable; the romance is seductive; the characters are charismatic and fun.
