ABOUT THE BOOK:Release Date October 25, 2022

Ethan Jameson has it all. He’s one of the hottest fighters in the middleweight circuit and is loved by women everywhere. It seems nothing can stand in his way… except for the dragon tattoo that marks him as a target. He knew the day would come when Nikolai Michelson would seek out his vengeance. He even fooled himself into believing he was ready to fight back… until a one-night stand changes everything.

Peyton Emerson; Hollywood starlet and America’s sweetheart. She’s always wondered what it would be like to have Ethan to herself. After a drunken weekend in Vegas, she got the pleasure of finding out firsthand. But being with her comes at a cost. Peyton knows all too well how the paparazzi tear couples apart with their lies.

Still, there’s no denying that their one-night stand sparked something inside of them—a need for one another they can’t quell. Unable to fight their attraction, they work to keep their relationship a secret. Unfortunately, their efforts aren’t enough to keep an enemy from finding out and using that information to manipulate them both. When Peyton and Ethan are approached with a grisly demand, they have no choice but to accept. Those they love will pay the horrific price if they try to refuse…

REVIEW: WANTING THE FIGHT is the third instalment in LP Dover’s contemporary, adult GLOVES OFF: NEXT GENERATION erotic, MMA, romance series-a spin off/next generation from the author’s GLOVES OFF series. This is twenty-seven year old MMA fighter Ethan Jameson, and twenty-three year old actress Peyton Emerson’s story line. WANTING THE FIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines or series is revealed where necessary. Ethan is the son of Ryley and Ashley (Ryley’s Revenge/Gloves Off 2, and Peyton is the daughter of Paxton and Gabriella (Paxton’s Promise/ Gloves Off 3).

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ethan and Peyton) WANTING THE FIGHT continues to focus on demons from the past. Peyton and Ethan were in Las Vegas to attend the wedding of Ethan’s sister Emma to Carter Reynolds (Craving the Fight /Gloves Off: Next Generation 1) but Petyon never expected to wake up the next morning, having spent the night with our story line hero. Pretending their night never happened, Peyton was determined to go home and forget about Ethan but all was not right in the world of the Jameson and Emerson families-the past has returned, taking aim at the next generation, a generation that is paying for the sins of their fathers. Assigning himself as Peyton’s security and bodyguard, our couple will find themselves reliving the h*ll of their parents’ past, a h*ll in which one or both may wind up dead. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Peyton and Ethan, and the potential fall-out as carnage and destruction lie in wait for our story line couple.

The relationship between Ethan and Peyton is a friends to lovers in which ‘what happened in Vegas was about to be revealed for the world to see’. Peyton and Ethan both have plans in their respective careers, careers that are about to be sidelined when vengeance comes knocking. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is another large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Jameson and Emerson families (bot current series and original). WE are introduced to a young fighter Wren Langston. The requisite evil has several familiar names and faces.

WANTING THE FIGHT is a story of vengeance and obsession, madness and mayhem, friendships and family, acceptance and love. The premise is dark, gritty and emotional-some definite anxious and heart pounding moments; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are strong, determined and charismatic.
