ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 28, 2020

It’s New Year’s Eve and Natalie has a rare night off from her shifts at the hospital. Determined to have fun with friends, she stops at a local store for provisions.

There, amongst the craft beer and pork rinds, she comes face to face with her high school boyfriend, Brennan McLean. He’s a rockstar. She’s a nurse. To say life led them in different directions would be putting it mildly. Still, time hasn’t lessened the electric chemistry between them. By the end of the night more was dropping than just the ball.

Convincing herself she could have fun without getting attached, Natalie treats herself to a weekend tangled in the sheets with him. But that lie she told herself pops faster than champagne bubbles.

With media rumors swirling around Brennan, can the pair find a way to make their unlikely relationship work? Or will Natalie’s resolution not to get her heart broken meet a painful end?

REVIEW:A DATE FOR MIDNIGHT is the first instalment in the contemporary, adult DATING erotic, romance novella series co-authored by Heidi McLaughlin and LP Dover. This is emergency room nurse Natalie O’Brien, and rock star Brennan McLean’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Natalie and Brennan) A DATE FOR MIDNIGHT follows West Coast rock star Brennan McLean as he is stranded in Boston for the New Year. A last minute party invite finds Brennan face to face with his high school sweet heart Natalie O’Brien, an ER nurse who is currently struggling with a direction in life. What ensues is the rebuilding romance between Natalie and Brennan, and the potential fall-out when Brennan’s time in Boston comes to a close.

Natalie O’Brien’s life fell apart one year earlier when she discovered her husband of two years having an affair. Fast forward to present day wherein all of Natalie’s friends are desperate for her to find her happily ever after but Natalie never expected to find Brennan McLean back in her hometown. A few days together, rekindling their relationship ends when Brennan must return to California, a return that results in potential betrayal to the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The relationship between Brennan and Natalie is one of second chances; a rekindling romance wherein Natalie falls for Brennan all over again, but gets her heart destroyed in the process. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

A DATE FOR MIDNIGHT is a quick read that covers a few days in the life of our leading couple; an erotic story of fun, friendship, celebration and love. The premise is captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are colorful and energetic. A DATE FOR MIDNIGHT is perfect for a lazy afternoon
