ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 20 2021

Every man knows there are lines you don’t cross. Like this one — don’t bang your boss’s little sister.

Too bad I didn’t know sexy, clever, irresistible London is related to the guy who signs my paychecks. Would have been helpful to have that intel before I took her out on that first date, before I kissed her on the beach, before I made plans to take her home that night.

But now I know and I’m going to be so damn disciplined. I’m a good guy, after all. And good guys don’t break the golden rules of the bro code. I’m going to follow the f&*k out of all the rules. I won’t break a single damn one.

Even when London asks me to help her with a work project. One that has us working late every night, all alone, in my tiny apartment.

One that tests every ounce of willpower I have.

One that is driving me out of my ever loving mind.

But I resist.

Until the night she issues a challenge I can’t refuse.

REVIEW: HOW TO GET LUCKY co authored by Lauren Blakely and Joe Arden is a contemporary, adult, stand alone erotic, romance story line focusing on DJ Teddy Lockhart, and choreographer London Hollis.

Told from first person perspective and third person texts between London and her girlfriends, HOW TO GET LUCKY follows the forbidden relationship between DJ Teddy Lockhart, and choreographer London Hollis. Teddy Lockhart works as the in house DJ for the all-male revue at the nightclub Edge but Teddy is hoping to expand on his business when he meets choreographer London Hollis, a dancer who stirs something deep within our story line hero but London is off limits as she is the boss’ sister. London is hoping Teddy is able to put together the music for an all-female dance routine to be featured at the Edge but working along side London is becoming more difficult as their sexual attraction is palpable and hot. Keeping their relationship on the down low, London and Teddy begin to fall for one another but Teddy has already experience the backlash of falling for the boss’ daughter, and refuses to again be placed in a similar position. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Teddy and London, and the potential fall-out as Teddy must come to a decision about his future-both professional and personal.

Teddy Lockhart knows the hardship of falling for someone at work, and in this he lost everything and had to start over. Teddy had no idea that London was his boss’ sister, and in this our hero struggles with his attraction to a woman that could cost him a job and his professional career. London Hollis is hoping Teddy Lockhart is the DJ to put together the music for her upcoming show but their attraction to one another may be a problem in that Teddy refuses to get involved with another workplace romance.

The relationship between Teddy and London is one of immediate attraction. Teddy notices London immediately, but knows that to work with London threatens his need to remain professional at work. There back and forth is flirty and fun-the $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced via text to London’s besties Olive and Emery; male dancers Sam, Carlos and Stanley, club owner Archer Hollis, as well as London’s roommates Nate and Stanley.

HOW TO GET LUCKY is a story of betrayal and relationships; family, acceptance and love. The premise is lively, enjoyable and entertaining; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are colorful, energetic and fun.
