REVIEW: PUCK YES is the second instalment in Lauren Blakely’s contemporary, adult MY HOCKEY ROMANCE erotic, MFM, hockey romance series. This is fashion influencer- blogger/team mascot Ivy Samuels, San Francisco Avengers team captain Stefan Christiansen, and new Avenger Hayes Armstrong’s storyline. PUCK YES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty, Any important information from the previous story lines is reveal where necessary. Ivy is the sister of Ryker Samuels (Double Pucked 1).

Told from three first person perspectives (Ivy, Stefan, Hayes) PUCK YES follows the building romance and relationship between Ivy, Stefan and Hayes. Ivy is a fashion blogger who has been dumped by her boyfriend, a boyfriend who is now engaged to Ivy’s boss, a woman who has invited Ivy to the wedding of the year but things go from bad to worse when Ivy is asked to be the fashion reporter for her ex’s wedding. Needing a plus one, Ivy asks her new neighbor, hockey player Hayes Armstrong to be her plus one but a new job as the team mascot, and a dare from the team players, finds Hayes and Ivy married in Vegas, a marriage that is about to include a sexy boyfriend. Enter team captain Stefan Christiansen, the third member of Ivy and Haye’s wedding union. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Ivy, Stefan and Hayes, and the potential fall-out as the ‘marriage on a dare’ quickly turns into something more.

The relationship between Ivy, Hayes and Stefan is one of immediate attraction. Ivy’s new neighbor Hayes Armstrong likes to garden in the nude, and it is his first introduction to Ivy that Hayes quickly offers up his status as plus one, a status that comes with his friendship with team captain Stefan. Ivy Samuels is attracted to both men, and both men are shamelessly attracted to our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate with multiple partner scenarios.

We are introduced to Ivy’s best friend and roommate Jackson, her former boyfriend Xander, and soon to be ex-boss Simone, as well as the return of Ivy’ brother Ryker Samuels, his girlfriend Trina and their third Chase.

PUCK YES is a fun and flirty story of love and acceptance, betrayal and moving on. The slow building premise is interesting, entertaining and spicy; the romance is tender and spirited; the characters are dynamic and determined.
