ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 3, 2022.

I never ran from my past or the only woman I ever loved.
She made sure to stomp me into the ground and demand I forget all about her.
I tried to do just that, and in the twelve years since she ripped my heart out, I’ve done fairly well.
Sometimes I could even go a day or two without thinking of her.
We were never supposed to see each other again, but Grace Neiman just couldn’t stay gone. She couldn’t stay in my past where she put herself.
Facing her again after she was abducted and sold was going to be the toughest challenge of my life.
All I have to do is make sure she stays a part of my history because she made sure I understood love was a joke.
Too bad Grace has other plans.

REVIEW:GRINCH is the twentieth instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is former US Special Ops member, thirty-two year old MC member Trenton ‘Grinch’ Cole, and thirty year old, former US Navy Grace Neiman’s story line. GRINCH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Grace and Grinch) GRINCH follows the second chance relationship between former US Special Ops member, thirty-two year old MC member Trenton ‘Grinch’ Cole, and thirty year old, former US Navy Grace Neiman. Twelve years earlier, in the face of perceived betrayal, a then eighteen year old Grace Newman rejected a proposal of marriage from twenty year old Trenton Cole. Fast forward to present day wherein the Cerberus MC has been called in to locate and rescue a woman kidnapped off the street, a woman Trenton Cole knows only to well. Believed to have been taken by human traffickers, Grace finds herself not once but three times in the possession of her would-be assailants. Desperate to find the woman he once loved, Grinch and the Cerberus MC set into motion a take down of the people involved but our story line couple struggled to move beyond past betrayals. What ensues is the acrimonious but rebuilding relationship between Grace and Grinch, and the potential fall-out as both begin to play a game with one another’s hearts and affections.

Trenton ‘Grinch’ Cole has never forgotten about the woman that broke his heart, a heart that remains frozen in ice with no chance for the future. Rekindling a romance with Grace means the possibility of heart break all over again so Grinch makes sure he destroys Grace before she can destroy him again. Grace Neiman cannot forgive Trenton for a perceived betrayal, a betrayal of secrets and misunderstanding. A proposal of marriage twelve years earlier, by our story line hero pushed Grace Neiman over the edge, forcing Trenton Cole out of her life, without looking back .

The relationship between Grinch and Grace is one of second chances; a rebuilding romance and relationship predicated by circumstance and fate but a relationship that struggles to move on from the past. As Grace pushes Grinch a little too far, our heroine must battle between head and heart knowing she may have pushed Grinch out of her life. Grace and Grinch are a highly sexual couple, both using provocative measures to capture what once was but may again never be. The $ex scenes are intimate erotic, seductive and intense without the use of over the stop, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to several member of the Cerberus MC: Prez Kincaid and Em, Legend, Harley, Kid, Aro, Ugly, Boomer, and Dominic. We are introduced to Alyssa Dansby, another woman caught in the web of human traffickers. The requisite evil has many faces.

GRINCH is a story of misunderstanding and heartbreak, pain and suffering, acceptance and forgiveness, loss and love. The premise is tragic and dramatic; the romance struggles in the face of perceived betrayal; the characters are wounded, edgy and animated.

Let’s see…where to begin…

I’m inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I’m not writing; I’m reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
