REVIEW: INDISCREET is the second instalment in Nicole French’s contemporary, adult DISCREET romance duology focusing on Hollywood actor / recluse Will ‘Fitz’ Baker, and musician/singer Maggie Sharp aka Lily Pad. INDISCREET should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one-DISCREET.

Told from first person point of view (Maggie Sharp) INDISCREET continues to focus on the relationship between Hollywood actor / recluse Will ‘Fitz’ Baker, and musician/singer Maggie Sharp. At the end of book one –DISCREET-Will’s secrets have been revealed-his true identity and the facts leading up to his disappearance and escape from the Hollywood lifestyle have been exposed, a disappearance for which he is about to pay, As Maggie comes to terms with the who, how and why of her relationship with Will, Will is forced to finish out a contract that places Maggie in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Maggie and Will, and the fall-out as betrayal, jealousy, discrimination and the media frenzy begin to take its’ toll on our story line couple.

INDISCREET focuses on the animal that is Hollywood-the fame, the fortunes, the manipulation and greed. From the power-hungry producers to an industry rife with sexual predators, alcohol and drugs INDISCREET does not discriminate between the have and the have-nots. Alcohol knows no boundaries-everyone is susceptible; no one is safe. Maggie and Will must traverse a landscape of paparazzi and small-minded bigots as their relationship becomes headline fodder, and Maggie’s history is about to be exposed.

Nicole French pulls the reader into a cautionary tale of betrayal and revenge; family and heart ache; power, greed, loss and control. The character driven premise is spirited, raw and intoxicating; the romance is captivating and passionate; the characters are broken, flawed, charismatic and animated.
