This is interim CEO of Blackguard Holdings Ronan Black, and Delaney ‘Laney’ Fisher’s story line. MORALLY BLACK ELOPEMENT can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ronan and Laney) MORALLY BLACK ELOPEMENT follows a bachelorette party in Las Vegas wherein Laney wakes up married to the interim CEO of Blackguard Holdings Ronan Black but all is not as it appears to be-like his brother Brendon who walked away from the family business, Ronan needs a suitable wife, and Laney finds herself facing down a family of vipers, losing herself and everything in the process.

The world building is Mafia adjacent, focusing on the building relationship that is predicated upon a secret and a lie. Ronan does not want control of Blackguard Holdings but when his brother Brendon walked away, Ronan became heir by default when the next in line, refused to take control. Meanwhile, Laney is struggle with her family owned business, and a health issue of which she can no longer afford but the Black family are determined to destroy anyone they see as not good enough, and Laney finds herself in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Laney and Ronan begins as drunk Vegas wedding in which neither one remembers what happened or how. Ronan is determined to remain married to our story line heroine, and in doing so, forces his family to take aim at our story line couple but when secrets are revealed, Laney discovers the life into which she agreed is nothing like the life Ronan had offered. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

Ronan’s siblings Brendon and his wife Simone, Owen and Shae; their controlling and manipulative father Naill Black; friend Liam Kelly; driver and security former US Navy SEAL Brady ‘Mac’ MacNamara, as well as the introduction of Laney’s father Jan Fisher, and her friend Megan.

MORALLY BLACK ELOPEMENT is a story of secrets and life, power and control, betrayal and dysfunction family relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is edgy, dramatic and sensational; the romance is passionate ; the characters determined, dynamic, and energetic.

Lucas is determined to seduce our heroine as he embarks on a trip overseas but all is not as it appears to be., and our heroine with pay the price with her heart and her soul. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dynamic, familiar, interesting and sometimes questionable secondary and supporting characters include the return of Marie’s siblings from the aforementioned interconnected series and stories. We are introduced to Lucas’s step mother Winnifred, his father Clifford and promiscuous half brother Daniel, who is all about the next female conquest, chef Ondine, as well as several of Marie’s supportive and fun friends she met previously in Paris.

BOSS OF THE YEAR is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal, power and control, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is emotional, heart breaking and captivating; the age-gap romance is seductive; the characters are determined, desperate, and charismatic yet Lucas’ actions are debatable, dubious and problematic as it pertains to our story line heroine.

As the story line progresses, we are witness to the fall-out of years of emotional abuse and control, such that the psychological ramifications have now become a permanent part of the individual psyche. Where one will act out, chasing the next proverbial high, the other is willing to remain hidden and secluded, away from anyone who will ever take notice.

The relationship between Nathan and Joni follows several stages from professional, to friendships, to necessity to fake to love. Nathan needs a plus-one, a fake girlfriend to keep his family at bay, and Joni has nothing but willing to accept Nathan’s help in return. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of family, colorful and charismatic secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have met in the author’s previous interconnected series including Joni’s siblings. We are introduced to Joni’s ex Shawn, her boss Mike, as well as Ethan’s brothers Carrick and Spencer, and their parents Radford and Lillian Hunt. The requisite evil has many faces. Not everyone will survive.

BOYFRIEND OF THE HOUR is a detailed, complex and dramatic story of secrets and lies, power and control, dysfunctional family dynamics, acceptance and love. The premise is tragic and startling; the romance is subtle; the characters are different, desperate and dynamic.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Francesca and Xavier) LAST COMES FATE follows in the aftermath of a misunderstanding forcing Francesca to walk away from the man that she loved but Francesca had just discovered she was pregnant with their second child, and Xavier was refusing to walk away from his newly discovered birthright. Refusing to force Xavier to choses sides, Francesca walks away without looking back but all is not well in Xavier’s fight for the ‘crown’, and Francesca continues to be the target of jealousy and greed. As Francesca and Xavier’s struggling relationship continues to grow, our heroine will discover the truth about Xavier’s past.

The world building continues to focus on Xavier’s birthright; his royal blood; the fight for the title, money and home; as well as Xavier’s need to claim Francesca and their daughter as his own. As Xavier’s extended family continues to throw fuel on the proverbial fires of greed and lies, Francesca must come to terms with the betrayal from one of her own.

The relationship between Francesca and Xavier continues to be contentious. Francesca is stubborn, and refuses to accept Xavier’s proclamations of love. Xavier is about to offer our heroine the world but her inability to move beyond her ‘butt-hurt’ feelings, places everyone in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, questionable, envious and twisted secondary and supporting characters most of whom we have met in the previous instalment. Most of the people in Xavier’s life are out for themselves, while the majority of Francesca’s extended family are supportive and protective of our story line heroine.

LAST COMES FATE is a character driven story of power and greed, secrets and lies, fate and family, relationships and love. The premise is dramatic and intense ; the characters are animated and spirited but Francesca’s attitude often left something to be desired. The romance is tender and provocative.

Fast forward to present day wherein Francesca Zola is a primary school teacher and single mother, having given birth to Xavier’s daughter four years earlier. Francesca tried to find Xavier without any luck, and five years had passed without contact or knowledge. A holiday party would bring Francesca face to face with her past, a past that knew nothing about the daughter she was raising on her own.

Told from dual first person perspectives -Francesca present day, Xavier from the past- THEN COME LIES follows Francesca and her daughter Sofie’s journey to England where they will spend the summer with Xavier Sato Parker. Xavier Parker was ordered to return to his ancestral home in England in the wake of the imminent death of his beloved uncle. Xavier is the heir to royal title, a fortune and a position in high society but all is not well on his ascent to the throne. Desperate for the company of Francesca, and the daughter he barely knows, Xavier will bring American born Francesca into a world of which she was completely unprepared. From the volatile gossip, rumors and paparazzi, to the family infighting for power and control,Francesca would quickly discover she was no longer in control of her life, or the fall-out that would precipitate her arrival in England. As Francesca struggled to find a place within the royal halls, everyone else was working behind the scenes to ensure she would never succeed.

The relationship between Francesca and Xavier is turbulent yet passionate, unrestrained and barely controlled. We are reintroduced to Xavier’s friend and COO Jagger Harrington; and art teacher Adam Klein, a man with secrets of his own, as well as the return of Francesca’s brother Matthew and sister Kate; Xavier’s mother’s best friend Elsie Crew, his step-brother Frederick, step mother Georgina, and Imogene, Xavier’s childhood friend and threat to his relationship with our story line heroine.

THEN COME LIES reads akin to the Harry and Meghan (Duke and Duchess of Sussex) battle with the Royal Family, and the fall-out of the destructive nature of discrimination, cultural snobbery, judgement and sanctimonious behavior of the social climbing royal and powerful elite. From the disrespectful actions of Xavier’s family and the people of the country he now calls home, there is no one and no where for Francesca to turn. The premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance suffers in the face of contempt and obliviousness; the characters are struggling, broken and barely surviving. THEN COME LIES ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
