ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 31, 2019

Run, he whispered in my ear. While you still can.

I walked into a club called Ruin and found it—and him—when he bent me over the piano he was playing.

I did as he said, but not until after he’d decimated me in the filthiest way possible.

I loved every second.

That one, and the ones that came years later. When he sang with me against his will, although the words burned and the scar tissue left him raw.

Nash has secrets, deadly ones, and he won’t let me in. He just gives me dirty little tastes of him that make me desperate for more.

To the world, I’m on top. The lead singer of a famous rock band.

With Nash, I don’t mind getting on my knees.

But someone is watching us. And our stalker isn’t content to stay on the sidelines any longer.

The curtain is about to rise. Win, lose…or die.

Author’s note: Play Dirty is a standalone enemies to lovers rock star romance. It ends in a happily ever after.

REVIEW: PLAY DIRTY is the first instalment in Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s contemporary, adult BROOKLYN DAWN erotic, rock, romance series focusing on the members of the rock band Brooklyn Dawn. This is lead singer for Brooklyn Dawn Lindsey York, and musician/writer / record producer Alexander Nash’s story line. BROOKLYN DAWN is a spin off from the authors’ numerous rock series including Lost in Oblivion, Found in Oblivion, and Hammered.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lindsay and Nash) PLAY DIRTY is an enemies to lovers/second chances (of a sorts) romance between lead singer for Brooklyn Dawn Lindsey York, and musician/writer Alexander Nash. Three years earlier Lindsey and Nash had a hot and heavy encounter behind the scenes then Lindsey disappeared from Nash’s life. Fast forward to present day wherein Brooklyn Dawn is one of the biggest rock bands in the world, and Lindsey has been asked to sing on an upcoming holiday album, an album co-written and co-produced by Alexander Nash. Sparks fly, words are said in anger as Lindsey and Nash must come to terms with what happened, and going forward. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Lindsey and Nash, and the potential fall-out as a stalker sets his sights on our story line couple.

Ten years earlier Irish born Alexander Nash’s life spiralled out of control. Alcohol and drugs destroyed his career when an automobile accident nearly took his life. A successful music writer and musician, Nash got his life back under control only to discover that not all was well in his well-ordered world. Lindsey York’s meteoric rise to fame came with a price including the paparazzi and fans who wanted more from the members of Brooklyn Dawn . A series of mysterious phone calls, and threats against her life find security tightened around Lindsey and the band, security that is about to drop the ball.

The relationship between Lindsey and Nash is an enemies to lovers; a second chance, of sorts between two people whose success on the music stage took off like a shot. Alexander Nash struggled to forgive the woman who walked away without looking back; Lindsey York fell for our story line hero, a man who struggle with Lindsey’s reputation, a reputation proliferated by lies and fame. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several members from the other bands and the aforementioned previous series including Ripper Records executives CEO Donovan Lewis and Lila Ronson Shawcross Crandall. We are introduced to the members of Brooklyn Dawn: drummer Cooper Dallas, ead guitarist Jamie DuCaine, bass guitarist Ozzy Taylor, keyboardist Teagan Daly and rhythm guitarist Zane Landry; Roth Defense specialist Noah Jordan; up and coming singer Angel Martin; and Nash’s childhood best friend Kyle Brady.

PLAY DIRTY is a story of secrets, betrayal, friendship and family; forgiveness and moving forward, happiness and love. The premise is engaging, energetic and edgy; the romance is steamy and seductive; the characters are colorful, dynamic and charismatic. PLAY DIRTY is a fantastic start to Quinn and Elliott’s new Brooklyn Dawn rock romance series.
