REVIEW:TOOL is the third instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Ruthless Kings MC. This is club VP Logan ‘Tool’ McGraw, and twenty-five year old, sales clerk /singer Juliette Johnson’s story line. TOOL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tool and Juliette) TOOL follows the building relationship between Ruthless Kings club VP Logan ‘Tool’ McGraw, and twenty-five year old, sales clerk /singer Juliette Johnson. At the age of fifteen Logan McGraw killed his father to protect his mother, and in the aftermath found himself prospecting for the Ruthless Kings MC. Fast forward to present day wherein Logan aka ‘Tool’ meets twenty five year old Juliette Johnson, the woman who would one day own his heart but claiming Juliette as his own has been forbidden by the MC president, for Juliette is the only daughter of the dirty Sheriff of Las Vegas Derek Johnson. Unable to stay away from our story line heroine, Tool must face punishment for going against the Ruthless Kings MC but his interest in Juliette places her in the direct line of fire when a local underground fighting ring claim Juliette as the ultimate prize. What ensues is the forbidden romance and relationship between Juliette and Tool, and the potential fall-out as Logan and the Ruthless Kings MC continue to be targeted for sins of the past.
Juliette Johnson is a virgin heroine having lived her life with an over protective father but everything was about to spiral out of control when the truth is finally revealed. Logan McGraw knows to get involved with Juliette Johnson means to bring the wrath of law enforcement and the hatred of a dirty copy to the front door of the Ruthless Kings MC. When Juliette goes missing, Logan aka Tool brings with him reinforcements as the Kings go hunting for the man in charge.
The relationship between Juliette and Tool is one of forbidden attraction. Not only does Sheriff Derek Johnson forbid his daughter from seeing our story line hero but Club president Reaper, enacts punishment against the man he calls friend and brother. Juliette refuses to remain under the protection of her over-protective father, and in doing so leaves herself exposed for all manner of problems. Tool knows Juliette is his to claim but the MC lifestyle may not be conducive for our story line heroine, and the father whose secrets are about to destroy them all. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense-the use of a certain four-letter word is used liberally and often.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including Reaper and Sarah, Tongue, Skirt, Bullseye and Poodle, as well as the return of Boomer, and his brothers Caster, Voodoo and Bone. We are introduced to Juliette’s father Sheriff Derek Johnson, as well as Tool’s mother Whitney, and prospect Tim aka Braveheart.
TOOL is a dark, gritty and graphic story line of abuse, betrayal, vengeance and death. The premise is engaging, dramatic and entertaining; the characters are brash, strong, and merciless; the romance is enthusiastic and passionate. TOOL is perfect for fans of dark, romantic, gritty MCs.
