REVIEW: A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is the seventeenth installment in Terry Spear’s contemporary, adult Heart of the Wolf paranormal romance series. This is silver wolf shifter CJ Silver, and wolf Laurel MacTire’s storyline. A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS focuses on Laurel MacTire and her two sisters (Meghan and Ellie) as they endeavor to renovate a haunted Victorian hotel in Silver Town-a town run and owned by the Silver Wolf Pack and their alpha Darien. But the sisters are in Silver Town for another reason-their mother’s sister Clarinda’s last known whereabouts was at this particular hotel, and Clarinda has not been seen or heard from in years. As the storyline progresses Laurel finds herself attracted to the local deputy sheriff who has been assigned to ‘protect the sisters’ and ‘investigate’ the appearance of a ‘ghost busting’ trio who claim to have a connection to the previous owners of the hotel, and in this the trio is demanding the title and deed.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS has a large ensemble cast of characters including CJ’s extended family, the Silver Wolf Pack, friends, acquaintances and anyone who has a connection to or business with the Silver Town wolves. Along with CJ and his brothers, the MacTire sisters examine the town’s history using photographs and stories in the hopes of uncovering the truth about their missing aunt, a ghost wolf, and the possibility of a love triangle that went very horribly wrong.

The relationship between CJ and Laurel is one of mutual and immediate attraction but Laurel and her sisters had never intended to remain in Silver Town once the whereabouts of their aunt was uncovered. Not only is Laurel beginning to fall in love with CJ but Meghan and Ellie may have found their future mates with CJ’s brothers. The $ex scenes are romantic but limited; there is no over-the-top graphic erotic imagery.

The world building continues to focus on the pack dynamics, friendships and business adventures. The Silver Town wolves are a close knit group that protects their own.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is a fast paced, fun read; a sexy storyline about family, discovery and loss. Terry Spear writes an entertaining series about shifters, their loves and their happily ever afters. The characters are well developed, charismatic and colorful; the premise is evenly paced with interesting twists; the romance is sexy and cute.
