ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 25, 2023

My mate rejected me, leaving me broken. I refuse to let that happen again—even if Steele is the one for me.

I hold the power of flame and future in my hands, but I know the world is watching. Waiting for us to fall.

The truth and lies that bind the Aspen Pack together are crumbling and I am to bear witness to its fate.

I know the Enforcer of the Aspens is my mate.

Yet neither of us want what fate decrees.

So, we’ll fight side by side and ignore the burning attraction between us.

Only when a traitor rocks the foundation of all we know, we might not have a choice to who we cling to in despair.

The vampires were only the pawns in this war.

The demons are on their way.

And if we’re not careful, the Aspen Pack could lose someone that breaks them.

And I could lose my mate.

Again.

REVIEW: I can’t believe this is the end of the Aspen Pack series! It made me both super excited and sad when I got my hands on Marked In Flames. As always, I recommend reading a series in order, Marked really is one that you should read the previous books, not only for the back story, but because the characters are often in most of the books and they are so much fun to read.

Jade and Steele, they are so similar to one another, I think that is why they bump heads so much. Both of them have their own reasons for not wanting the mate bond, but as they saw, you can’t change your fate. As the book progresses we get more of Jade’s past before she befriends Dara and Sawyer, and I think that was really needed to give reason for the way she is. And even more so, why Steele is the way he is.

Jade is a fire witch, Steele is the Aspen Pack Enforcer, this doesn’t make for a happily ever after…or does it? Marked In Flames is definitely a slow burn romance, but one that makes it so worth it in the end. The connections between each of the couples in the series, and the pack as well, really make the series one to come back to. When Jade and Steele finally give in to one another, the meaning behind it makes the entire wait of the slow burn book oh so worth it.

C.A.R will forever be a Queen in the author world, no one will ever be able to tell me otherwise. I very much hope to see more of this world, even if it’s just in a spin off series.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 22, 2023

A witch on the run who could save the world–or destroy it with one touch

I am who they fear.

The Harvester Death Witch.

The one who holds the power of their fate in my hands.

Or at least…that’s what they whisper.

The coven has fallen. The vampires are circling our den. And if we don’t find new allies, our Pack won’t be able to fight much longer.

On my Alpha’s orders, I must find others who hide beneath the shadows for not only our protection, but theirs as well.

Only I’m not alone on my mission.

I brought Cruz back from death once before, and though I know the goddess forbids it, I’d do it again.

Because he’s my mate.

And my ending.

REVIEW: Harbored In Silence is the fourth installment in the Aspen Pack series, by Carrie Ann Ryan. Like always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it. For readers that know a little backstory, Cruz and Dara’s book is here and it is everything and more than what you are hoping for.

Dara is the Harvester Death Witch. Cruz, the heir to the Aspen Pack. These two have some things happen in the previous books in the series, so when I finally got my hands on their story I was thrilled. Dara saved Cruz’s life, bringing him back from the dead, now we get the full story of that choice and them becoming mates. As always, C.A.R story’s are one of my most anticipated reads, her books always pull at the heartstrings, and Harbored holds true as well.

Dara is dying, before her death all she wants to do is save her pack, and set Cruz free of the bond that formed when she saved his life. Cruz on the other hand is ordered to keep her safe, with this task they both must fight the mating bond they are feeling. The longer they stay together, however, the stronger their feelings for one another get. Can the two find a future together? Can they save Dara from dying?

C.A.R knows how to write a good paranormal romance, that’s for sure. Cruz is grumpy, and loyal, and no matter who or what Dara is, he can’t help but want her. Dara is a strong woman with a vulnerable heart, she wants to save her pack more than anything else, but with Cruz, their connection sparks to life a passion for a life she knows she can never have. This was a heartwarming story of love, struggle and tragedy. If you are looking for a good paranormal romance, look no further than the Aspen Pack.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release January 16 , 2023

My wolf hid my fated mates—until the moon goddess forced our mating.

As Alpha of the Central Pack, I know we are the weakest link in the alliance, but I will stop at nothing to prove our worth and rebuild from our shameful and brutal past.

Along the way I fell for Adalyn and Nico, but stayed away, thinking they were fated for each other—and never me.

When a mating bond is forced on us, our worlds collide and now we must survive in this new fated life where rules break and the heat between us boils over.

Only Valac’s revenge over losing his mate in our previous battles take danger to a new level and if I’m not careful, I’ll lose my two mates before I even get a chance to make them fall for me like I have for them.

And if we’re not careful, the darker danger hiding in the shadows might break us all. As Valac’s master is waiting. And he’s closer than we think.

REVIEW:The Alpha of the Centrals pack is back and ready for a fight. Cole is determined to make amends for the mistakes those before him made, no matter the cost. Cole believes his life is meant to be for the pack, he must live and die for it. After all, what else does he have? A mate? Cole watched as his sister bonded with her mate, and then turned that into an alliance, but that would never be for him. They would never be for him.

Or so he thought.

Nico and Adalyn have been dancing around each other since the second they laid eyes on one another, but have yet to do anything about the emotions that are swirling. They have the attraction and chemistry, but something is missing, something important. They just didn’t know what, turns out it was Cole all along. But will they listen?

When even a mate bond can’t break these three out of the past, the Goddess herself takes things even further. She has plans for them whether they like it or not. Cole, Nico and Adalyn were such a great read. There is so much emotional pain in Cole, but also hope for something better. Nico and Adalyn add something that Cole didn’t even know he was missing. This book truly does have it all, drama, spice, turmoil and fear, all resulting in a brutal battle with the baddy of the story.

Mated In Chaos is the third book in the Aspen Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan. As always I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, but you can read each book as a standalone if you so chose. Mated in Chaos is a story filled with struggle, fear and redemption. Ms. Author has a way with words that matches few. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 19, 2022

Skye Jamenson-Anderson knows the legacy she must live up to. She’s the daughter of warriors and the granddaughter of the late Alphas who sacrificed everything so their den could survive. Though she feels she doesn’t have a place in her Pack, she does everything in her power to keep them and their allies alive—including saving the Aspen Alpha.

As Alpha of the Aspen Pack, Chase Leyne knows a thing or two about one’s legacy. He’s the son of a traitor and the most powerful wolf in his territory. He also knows without a doubt that Skye is not his mate. When the two decide to lean on another in every way possible, they both go in knowing nothing forever can come out of it.

The enemy is stepping up their game and threaten the stability of the alliance forged in blood. With one bite, Chase and Skye’s world changes, and the one thing that is keeping them apart might be the only promise to save their Packs and their future.

••••

REVIEW: The second book in the Aspen Pack Series; Hunted in Darkness is a lively, fast paced shifter romance. HID can be read as a standalone, however, I always recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it.

Chase is the new alpha of the recovering Aspen Pack, he has much to prove and rebuild after the damage his father did as previous pack leader. Now the newly healing pack has a new flight on their hands, something is coming and they will need to rely on each other to get to the bottom of it. Even the ones that he doesn’t expect.

Skye Jamenson has been lost for what feels like her entire life, never really feeling like she belonged anywhere. Her parents have never been nothing but supportive, but she knows she also has her family’s name to live up to. Skye will do whatever she can to make sure her pack and their allies stay safe and whole. When one of their allies is attacked, Skye rushes to the rescue.

Chase is pleasantly surprised by Skye and her strength as she stands her ground against those around her. This new enemy is coming for not only their packs, but all packs everywhere. As the battle continues, this new enemy keeps coming after Chase time and time again, and when this happens, Skye is always there to help him. The mating bonds are all messed up still, but they both feel something when they are with one another, maybe a little less…broken?

I love a good shifter romance and C.A.R never lets me down! It was really interesting getting more of the back story of Chase and the Aspen back. This new threat is going to be one that know one sees coming. Skye and Chase’s connection is so different compared to other “fated” mates, the bonds are still altered so what they should be feeling is muted. However, their connection and chemistry is still fire, they bond even without it. Hunted in Darkness is filled with heart pounding action, jaw dropping twists, and spicy bits that will fuel the imagination.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date

The betrayal that had nearly taken out the Aspen Pack has passed, but the ramifications of starting with a new hierarchy are taking their toll on Audrey Porter. Once traitor to the former leaders for trying to save their people, she’s now the Beta of the Pack and must try to hold their shattered remains together. Only she never expected the man from her past to awaken memories long since buried.

Gavin Powers is the new Tracker for the Aspen, yet it feels as though he’s always been part of the Pack, rather than a newcomer trying to heal a people long since thought forgotten. There are secrets within the den that could alter how the world sees shifters, and if Gavin isn’t careful, his attraction to Audrey could ruin everything.

There is a mysterious new enemy on the horizon, one long since vanquished into myth. As the darkness surrounding the Packs is unveiled, it will take a wolf and a lioness to unbury the past and fight for their future—or risk losing everything before it begins.

•••••••

REVIEW:Etched In Honor is the first book in a new shifter series by Carrie Ann Ryan, and what a treat it is. Aspen Pack book one is a story of messed up fate and redemption, plus no one does a shifter romance like C.A.R.

Audrey and Gavin start their relationship off rocky, their past littered with complications and mystery. Audrey has taken on the role as Beta for the pack, and Gavin follows as tracker, both trying to find their way and save their people. While this story does focus on the pair, you really get to see how the Aspen Pack is rebuilding after the loss they suffered and I think that has a lot to do with the struggle of both Audrey and Gavin and how much the new pack means to them.

Audrey wants to be strong for her Pack, and Gavin is trying to find a home, together they want to build something that will last. All the while they are trying to build something new with a sturdy foundation, they also have to deal with the most completed history I have read in a shifter book. I loved the vulnerability of Audrey and how much she comes to value Gavin and his insight on their new bond. As that bond grows, we get the spicy bits and who doesn’t love those.

-Laughs-

Through thick and thin, Gavin and Audrey learn to trust and love one another, but when that trust is tested by an unknown enemy after their Pack, who knows what will happen. This was such a kicker when you finally get the low-down of what the big bad is and dang, I didn’t see that coming. Here is hoping that we get more with the next books in the series.
