REVIEW:Who likes Twisters? Well if you do this is the book for you! Twist My Heart is a standalone, low angst, high spice romance novel by the ever talented Avelyn Paige.

This story follows Lila and Jonah, both people who find tornadoes so interesting that they have built their lives around them. Lila is the tornado chaser, she lives for the chase and the danger of a new twister at every turn, she has dedicated her life to them. So much so that sometimes everything else fades into the background, like romance. Jonah on the other hand is more….academic, he too is fascinated with twisters, but from the safety of lab. That is until he is forced out into the field with Lila, two weeks with her shouldn’t be too bad…right?

I loved the twist of our FMC being the chaser instead of a man, so many times I have read books that have the MC leading the more dangerous rolls, well not with Ms. Avelyn. Lila is a determined, strong minded FMC that knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. That being said, Jonah was the perfect match for her, his scientific mind added such depth to his character without making him feel less masculine. Their chemistry for the second half of the book was so good, the tension and pull they both felt for one another came across well. When push comes to shove and the ball is left in Jonah’s court about what he wants for their relationship, I was waiting anxiously to see what he was going to do.

Overall, I really enjoyed Twist My Heart,it reads like a slow burn, but the tension between the leads is great, the spice is there and the writing is good. Everything you would expect from a seasoned author like Ms. Avelyn.

Hogging the Holidays is the story of CeCe and Brayden, one filled with Christmas magic, family drama and an ex that takes gold on being douche of the year.

Cece is dealing with the aftermath of a messy divorce, which like most, put her through the ringer. Hoping for a little sanctuary, Cece heads to San Salona in hopes of a little peace for the holidays. Alas, she is met with nothing but family gossip and obligations and her pain in the bum ex and his new girlfriend parading around town. Life couldn’t get any better. With everyone wanting something from her at all times, Cece has just about given up on the holiday season, until Brayden comes riding into town.

Brayden is the VP of the Heaven’s Rejects MC and he’s in town to drop the toys off for the families in need that the club has raised via the toy drive. Think Toys for Tots kinda thing. While in town, he hears nothing but gossip about Cece and her very new divorce, not that it matters to him much. However these two keep meeting, one interaction after another and their chemistry is off the charts. Maybe it’s fate, maybe it’s a little Christmas magic, but either way Brayden isn’t going to let Cece get away.

Cece and Brayden’s story was a nice treat for the holidays. These two were so different, a preacher’s daughter and a VP from a motorcycle club, but someone they just fit so well together. Brayden was the shield that Cece needed to finally grow, and Cece was the safe place that Brayden needed to find strength. Cece’s dad had me cursing, but thankfully he finally came to his senses and they were able to come together as a family and work through it. Overall, I enjoyed the book and I always look forward to what this author has coming up.

REVIEW: As a park of the 31 Days of Trick or Treat: Biker & Mobster series, The Reaper’s Vow can be read as a standalone by Avelyn Paige. This is a shifter, monster romance with darkish themes, but no major trigger warnings.

Katrina’s family has kept a secret from her her entire life, but that secret comes to light at the worst possible time. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time lands Katrina witnessing something that will change her life forever and delivers her right into the arms of Damien. Damien is known as the Reaper for a reason, his life is violent and blood soaked, as the enforcer for the Bellandi Family he has done terrible things, but nothing has ever had him questioning his job. Until Katrina. She’s a witness and a liability, one could cause chaos to his world, but something about her is causing him to pause his orders. Something more.

Entire the world of shifters and wolves, to mafia families and suspense, Avelyn Paige has done it again. The Reaper’s vow was a fast paced, intense read that was filled with drama and intrigue. While the book was fast paced, I wish there was a little more to the characters, it felt like they were almost unfinished towards the end. Damien and Katrina had loads of chemistry and really made the storyline full, but something just felt like it was missing. Interested to see what else will be a part of these 31 days things.

REVIEW: The next book in the Heaven’s Reject’s MC; Bad Luck, Hard Love has arrived!! As always I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, but each book can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series. Word of warning, there are darker themes to this story, so check your trigger warnings before consuming.

The weekend getaway with her bestie goes from hello Vegas skyline to, what the hell is going on Vegas in a matter of moments. Charlotte is due a good time, after getting away from her abusive ex-husband whose divorce was anything but civil, Charlotte thinks the weekend vacation is just what she needs to start off the next chapter of her life in a positive way.

But life has a way of getting you when you’re down and making you wish you hadn’t gotten back up.

Getting drugged and kidnapped was not on the itinerary for Charlotte’s trip, but thankfully she is saved by a green-eyed, patch wearing biker who makes her feel safe for the first time in a long time. Enter our main man Thor. Thor is in Vegas for one reason and one reason only, Club business. As a patched member of Heaven’s Reject’s MC, he wants to get his business done and get the hell out of the city, he’s road captain for a reason. That all changes when Charlotte lands in his lap. Charlotte and Thor’s connection and chemistry is quick and hot, neither knowing what to think of the other, but neither can deny the connection they have. Quickly Thor realizes that Charlotte comes with more drama that just keeping her safe, she has connection to club business, or nather, her ex-husband does, an ex-husband that seems to want her out of the picture enough to do her real physical harm. (not surprising the guy is a douche)

For readers who keep up with the series, you are going to love this one! If you enjoy a fast paced, biker romance with a strong FMC finding her people, this one’s for you. The storyline is easy to keep up with, and previous characters pop up throughout which is a nice touch, there is enough suspense to keep the readers interested and engaged, waiting to see what will happen next. Overall, very pleased with the newest addition to the series, very much looking forward to seeing who the next biker is.

REVIEW:The conclusion to the Second Sons Duet, All The Darkest Truths has arrived!! You must have read the first book in the duet series, nothing is going to make a lick of sense if you haven’t. Check your trigger warnings, this one is just as devious as the first installment.

We just right back in where book one (All The Pretty Little Lies) left off, Vesper is free and more determined than ever to take back what is hers no matter the consequences. Vesper with her guys, Zaire, Oscar, Talon and Alex are a force to be reckoned with, with them together again they embark on their journey to find Luca and Vesper’s son. Of course there is the mystery of The Collector and where they will turn up. This book takes dramatic twists and turns to another level, through contained struggles and hardships, Vesper and her guys fight to find their happiness.

Vesper and her men grow so much throughout the two books. Character growth is always important, but when you have a reverse harem like this, it can get a little dicey, with so many characters, sometimes it feels like some get more than others. Not with Ms. Paige though, all of the fellas in this series really come into their own, not to mention Vesper. She is such a complex character, she is sassy and strong, but can be delicate and vulnerable with her guys. Truly a character to relate to. The storyline is fast paced, which is good because this series takes you through the emotions, but it just enhances the reader’s experience. When the ending finally came up, I was waiting for something else, but no, it’s just BAM it’s done, a little sad for that but excited for what will hopefully come next!

REVIEW:Property of Fox is the next in the Mayhem Makers Bastard Boilers MC series by Avelyn Paige. Each book can be read as a standalone, but check your trigger warnings before reading, this is a MC series after all and VERY intense.

Fox isn’t what you would call an “average” biker, yes he’s all about his bike, his club and the open road, but he’s growing as a character and I am all here for it. After agreeing to “fake date” an author to upsell her latest novel, Fox has had just enough of the drama, but when he comes across a pretty redhead at the bar, he’s second guessing the whole fake dating business.

Brea is on the run from her family and dragging her bestie Keira along the way with her. Her step-father is overly controlling and will stop at nothing to get her back under his thumb. When she and Kiera meet the rugged Fox, it is nothing but pure chaos. Brea and Fox fall for each other hard, but when it comes to light who she is, or rather who her step-father is, Fox has a world of hurt he’s going to have to deal with quickly.

While this book was rather fast paced, Brea and Fox are a kick in the pants. The banter between Brea and Fox is so good as is their chemistry, but truly I think all things Brea and Kiera make the book what it is. Oh and Asher, his moment almost physically hurt, I’m gonna need him to get a HEA pretty please!

All The Pretty Lies is an intense reverse harem/Why Choose, mafia romance. Avelyn Paige weaves a web of mysterious lies and suspense with hidden layers that are slowly peeled away as the plot unfolds.

From her first breath Vesper has known that part she will play to her family. You see, her family isn’t a run of the mill family, no. She’s the daughter of the mafia, and thus her life is forfeit, she is to be married off to an unknown man for the benefit of her family. Life however has a different path in store for Vesper. As the doomsdate (as I like to call it) looms closer and closer, her brother hatches a plan to help her, betrothing her to the Russian Petrov twins. This little glimmer of hope Vesper has is quickly extinguished when she is brutally kidnapped and held prisoner.

Fast forward two long years and Vesper has had to endure being tortured and brutalized, broken down and shattered, all the passing fancy for this monster of a man. For two years, the Second Sons; Oscar, Zaire, Talon and Alex search for her to an obsessional degree. When they are finally able to locate her, she is a shadow of the person she used to be. Nevertheless, the men want to help her heal and recover, they want to give her a reason to live again.

To say this book is fabulous just doesn’t cover it. ATPL is dark, gritty and intense. There are moments when the guys have me panting, and others when I want to beat them upside their stupidly attractive heads. Talon and Alex are -Chef’s kiss- delicious, and when we got that little teaser from Alex I was practically feral. This book will take you for a ride of ups and downs, heartbreak and heat, sobbing and spice all in the same chapter. The ending, readers be warned, is the most frustrating cliffhanger of all time and I can’t wait to get the next part!

REVIEW:Resolution is the fifth and the last installment in the Heaven’s Rejects MC by the ever talented Avelyn Paige. Ginny is ready for her life to start again. The last four years have been hard without her man, but he is coming home and she is over the moon about it. Lucas “Slider” just got released from prison after doing time for his club, all he wants is a beer and his Ginny. Too bad life doesn’t always give us what we want. After the sacrifice he made for his club, Slider is ready to find his happy, but life is taking him and his woman for another spin.

Well if you thought the series was giving all it was going to give, you were wrong. Ginny and Sliders story is one packed full of emotion, family, sacrifice and action. This series was a binge series for me, and what a way to read it. For all my MC readers consuming this for the first time, happy reading! Way to go Ms. Author!

Heaven’s Reject MC starts off with a thrilling and exciting story starring Dani and Tyler. Dani has a stalker, and not the kind you fall in love with, the kind that kills your parents and sends you into hiding. Tyler “Hero” is the VP of the Heaven’s Rejects MC, he is just the kinda guy you picture when you think of a MC VP. Tall, dark and alpha. When these two meet you know there is a spark, but Hero is nervous about Dani, she has a look that he knows all too well. A look of secrets. She’s running and needs help, so what does he do? He of course steps in. I would recommend readers check the trigger warnings on this book, but that’s just a bonus for me. Heaven Sent is a spicy, thrilling read that MC readers are gonna love.

Angels and Ashes is book two in the Heaven’s Rejects MC series by Avelyn Paige, and what a roller coaster. This book gave second chance romance meets MC alpha romance and I am all for it. Darcy is a character I wasn’t sure I was going to like at first, but as I read more of the book, her actions started to make more and more sense. Her husband, while he did love her, kept her away from the Heaven’s Rejects MC that he was a part of, so when he dies, she takes all her pain out on them. When Raze becomes more and more of her life, and by that I mean Darcy starts getting involved in things she most definitely should not, he swings in for the rescue. There is SO MUCH to this book that I don’t think I can fit it into a single review, but for MC just read it.

Absolution is the third installment in the Heaven’s Rejects MC and WOW talk about emotional trauma.This one is a crier, be ready. Ricca and Jude “Rachet” are a couple that I will always come back to read again. Ricca is like a wounded animal, and Rachet wants to heal her. For a rough and tough motorcycle guy, Ratchet is pretty sweet in my opinion, plus he is determined to make her his. Ricca has a past that still haunts her to this day, and what she has the hardest time letting go of. Ricca has moments that I love, then she has others that I just want to shake her sane. This author is newer to me, but I am definitely becoming a die hard fan.

He is here, he is HERE!! I have been DYING for Voodoo’s book since I first read about him and what a wait it was, but so so worth it! Lies and Illusions is the fourth installment in the Heaven’s Rejects MC and if you haven’t already read the other book, just go read them. The story can be read as a standalone, but I promise, you will thank me later if you go back and read the first three. Voodoo is the nerd of the MC if you can believe it, but that doesn’t mean he is any less an alpha, because I can promise you he is. What do they say about the quiet one again? Presley and Voodoo are like fire and ice together, and wow, their story is hot! Presley is a character I didn’t see making it in a MC plot, but somehow she makes it work. Well now she is in trouble, and Voodoo is going to risk life and limb to get her out of it. Lies and Illusions is my favorite so far in this series!
