ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 15, 2016

Someone’s out to ruin Gretchen’s happy-ever-after on the eve before the big day. Can she trust Hunter, the man she’s given her heart to? And can she rely on her sister Daphne (the least reliable person of all!) to help her salvage things? Or is this marriage going to go down in flames before Gretchen and Hunter ever get to the altar?

••••••••••

REVIEW: BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE: The Wedding by Jessica Clare is a novella length story line in the Billionaire Boys Club series focusing on the Christmas wedding preparations one week prior to Gretchen Petty and Hunter Buchanan’s wedding. The months leading up to the wedding have been highlighted in Jessica Clare’s spin off series-Billionaires and Bridesmaids that focused on several of the wedding party attendants for the upcoming nuptials. BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE-The Wedding also follows the building relationship between Gretchen and Audrey’s prodigal sister Daphne Petty, and her personal trainer Wes.

Told from several third person points of view we are witness to Gretchen’s meltdown as her wedding day approaches. From a series of baking mishaps, a winter snowstorm, and a potential blackmail scheme, Gretchen believes her wedding day is cursed. With the return of Daphne things go from bad to worse as the trio of sisters begin to butt heads about Daphne’s sudden appearance.

BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE: The Wedding is the culmination of several story lines and two series, and months of preparations for Gretchen and Hunter’s wedding. The reader has been up close and personal as the bridesmaids and groomsmen have come and gone never quite sure who will be standing with the bride and groom. The premise is entertaining and a whirlwind of activity but a little anti-climactic with the resulting story line due in part to the massive buildup throughout the series-I was expecting a more extravagant and detailed story. The characters are colorful and familiar; the romance is limited as the relationship has already been established. The lone scene of sexual activity is mostly implied. With the addition of Daphne and Wes, I am going to presume there is another story line in the future and The Wedding is the vehicle of introduction.

His Royal Princess

$1.99 ebook: Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO /

About the book: Release Date April 19, 2016

Their romance led to a royal wedding in Once Upon a Billionaire. Now see how it all began for Princess Alexandra of Bellissime and American actor Luke Houston in this novella from New York Times bestselling author Jessica Clare.

As heir to the throne of Bellissime, Princess Alexandra is supposed to be cool and calm…not crushing on a movie star. When she hears that Luke Houston is filming a scene for his next movie in her tiny country, however, she can’t resist sneaking onto set to get a glimpse of the Hollywood hunk.

When Alex is almost caught on set by the press, she ducks into the first available hiding place—only to find herself in Luke’s private trailer, and getting much more than just a glimpse of him. It’s an up close and personal encounter that sets her heart aflutter, and sets her mind on some very unladylike plans to get to know him better…

••••••••••

REVIEW: HIS ROYAL PRINCESS by Jessica Clare is a prequel novella in the BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB adult, contemporary, romance series. HIS ROYAL PRINCESS falls in the timeline before Once Upon A Billionaire (book 4) and follows the relationship between American actor Luke Houston, and twenty eight year old Princess Alexandra of Bellissme. Alexandra (Viscount Griffin’s cousin) and Luke were first introduced to the reader in book four. HIS ROYAL PRINCESS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives HIS ROYAL PRINCESS focuses on Princess Alexandra’s ‘crush’ on American actor Luke Houston. While Luke is filming his latest movie in Bellissme, Princess Alexandra finds herself on the set, hoping for a chance to meet her favorite actor. What ensues is the forbidden but building relationship between a member of the Bellissme Royal family, and one of America’s most popular actors.

HIS ROYAL PRINCESS is a sweet and simple read. The relationship is a quick build between two people whose lifestyles are utterly different but a relationship built upon trust and love. But an innocent comment by a member of Houston’s team, finds the Princess heartbroken and wanting to run from the man that she loves.

The $ex scenes are limited; there is no graphic sexual language or over the top sexual situations. The story line is quite tame and reads somewhere between YA and NA. The character building is limited-the story line focuses on the current relationship and not the past. There is very little anxiety, angst or conflict-Jessica’s usual writing style feels absent as though someone else wrote the story.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 2, 2015

Kylie may be a makeup artist to the stars, but she knows what it feels like to be overshadowed. Especially by her famous boss, the pop star Daphne. That’s why she’s stunned—and delighted—when one night at a party, she attracts the attention of a gorgeous stranger. But when Daphne decides she wants the handsome billionaire for herself, Cade Archer is suddenly off-limits for Kylie…

Cade has known Daphne for years, and always wondered if she might be the right woman for him—even though she never gave him the time of day. But one sizzling night with Kylie has changed everything. So why is she suddenly avoiding him? Fortunately Cade is determined to get what he wants, and he’ll do anything to show Kylie she can get everything she wants too…

••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE is the sixth installment in Jessica Clare’s adult, contemporary Billionaire Boys Club romance series focusing on a group of self made billionaires (and friends). This is billionaire investor Cade Archer, and make up artist Kylie Daniels. ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE can be read as a stand alone. Any important information from previous storylines is imparted where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE follows the building relationship between Kylie and Cade, and Cade’s crumbling ‘friendship’ with the infamous singer Daphne Petty. The reader was first introduced to Daphne and her struggling relationship with Cade in book three-THE WRONG BILLIONAIRE’S BED. Cade Archer has been in love with Daphne since they were children but Daphne’s drug addiction and questionable lifestyle have forced Cade to get Daphne help on too many occasions. Enter curvaceous and plump Kylie Daniels-Daphne’s new make up artist-and the woman who would capture Cade’s heart. After a drunken one-night stand with Kylie, Cade wakes up alone with little memory about what had happened-the only thing he knows-he wants more from Kylie Daniels.

The relationship is one of mutual attraction although Kylie’s self esteem has been shattered by a past rife with condescending insults and the loss of her parents. Kylie does not understand Cade’s attraction to her, and in this, she believes Cade is only filling an empty hole left behind from his attraction and love for Daphne Petty. The $ex scenes are provocative and steamy. Cade is a man who has fallen in love with Kylie who believes she is not worthy of a man like Cade. Afraid of losing her job if Daphne discovers her relationship with Cade, Kylie is not willing to place herself in any further compromising positions. Kylie has kept secret her family history- a history that now costs every penny Kylie makes.

Our first introduction to Cade (in book three) found a man whose dependency upon his friendship with Daphne left little to be desired. Here was a man who had fallen in love with his best friend-a friend whose lifestyle focused on her next drug fix leaving Cade to willingly pick up the pieces when her own family had written off the addicted star. Sometimes it is better to walk away then to be an enabler; their co-dependent relationship left a bad taste in this reader’s mouth. But Cade is a changed man. He recognizes that Daphne will never be the young woman with whom he had previously fallen in love, and in this, Cade is willing to take the next step and look towards the future with someone else-if only Daphne had gotten the memo.

The secondary and supporting characters include many of Daphne’s assistants, dancers and tour regulars whose own lives have been less than happy while bending to the whims and wishes of a drug addicted star. Cade’s billionaire friends make a small appearance at the end of the story, but Cade will reach out to Reese (The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed #3) when Kylie continues to push Cade away. Although Daphne has yet to get her happily ever after, perhaps we will see something in Jessica Clare’s spin off series-Billionaires and Bridesmaid.

ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE is a sexy and wonderful read with texting, panty negotiations, and supply closet $ex. There are moments of tears and romance; betrayal and pain; falling in love and letting go. Jessica Clare pulls the reader into a storyline where the heroine is not perfect; she is not a size two but a woman whose curves call to the man of her heart. The characters are colorful, engaging and charismatic; the premise a Cinderella fairy tale; the happily ever after a storybook promise.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 4, 2014

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society. Six men of astonishing wealth. But there’s one thing money can’t buy. When it comes to love, success doesn’t come so easily…

Jonathan Lyons. Playboy, billionaire, and adventurer, he lives life on the edge. When he hears that his mentor, Dr. Phineas DeWitt, had a secret journal that leads to a legendary artifact, Jonathan takes action. It stirs his blood, but it comes with a heady challenge: DeWitt’s daughter Violet. She has what Jonathan needs. And she’s not giving it up it to the man who broke her heart.

Violet is Jonathan’s weakness—he’s still in love despite their volatile breakup a decade ago. But Violet’s memories have a sharper edge. She’s never forgiven him for abandoning her. Or so she thought. When Jonathan’s attentions turn seductive, she’s in danger of falling for him all over again. And she can’t help but wonder… does he really want her, or just what she’s hiding?

••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ROMANCING THE BILLIONAIRE is the fifth installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult Billionaire Boys Club erotic romance series focusing on a secret society of six men (all billionaires and friends) who have vowed financial success at any cost. This is adventurer, car manufacturer and archeologist Jonathan Lyons, and grade school teacher Violet DeWitt’s story.

The focus of ROMANCING THE BILLIONAIRE is a second chance at romance and love storyline between Violet and Jonathan. Ten years earlier, a then nineteen year old Violet fell in love with Jonathan, her father’s favorite archeology protégé, and the man who would break her heart. At the end of the summer, when Violet asked Jonathan for something more-a promise of forever- Jonathan was not ready to settle down-he had his sights set on following his mentor (and Violet’s father) in the field of archeology and archeological digs. What ensues, is a series of mistaken beliefs, lost love and broken hearts, and ten years of longing for the one who got away. Upon Dr. DeWitt’s death, our couple are sent on a scavenger hunt, one orchestrated by her late father’s request, that would reveal the location of a stolen and missing artifact

The relationship between our leading couple is one that is fraught with ten years of lost hope and memories of what could have been. When Jonathan could not promise Violet any more than the present, Violet walked away never knowing that her estranged father set into motion a series of lies and half truths that would break Jonathan’s heart but never break his love for Violet. The storyline follows a difficult rekindling of Jonathan and Violet’s love but not before Violet becomes enraged with bitter memories and angry words. Violet is a person who is less than accepting of her former lover’s apologies and heartbreak, and in this she is a difficult character to like. Jonathan is a man consumed with his need and love for Violet, and with the knowledge that Violet’s anger towards him is misdirected and all encompassing. The misunderstandings are deep and blinding, and are responsible for many of the anxious and heartbreaking storyline moments.

The world building continues with the inclusion of some of the previous storyline players. The secondary characters are limited although all of the Billionaire Boys Club members make a cameo at a couple of their weekly ‘meetings’. Cade, the sixth and final billionaire plays a role in getting our couple back together but not before Violet chooses to run again believing her heart could not handle another loss.

ROMANCING THE BILLIONAIRE is a storyline that is punctuated with poetry and prose. Violet’s father uses verse to pull Violet and Jonathan together on their hunt for the missing artifact, but it is Jonathan’s use of poetry that will begin to melt the ice around Violet’s heart.

Jessica Clare is a gifted writer with the ability to draw forth the emotional component of her storylines. There is seduction and breathtaking intimacy; provocative sex scenes; and sensual pleasure. The Billionaire Boys Club takes a passionate look at six men whose lives have been enriched through friendship and love. I am looking forward to Cade’s storyline so that each of our bad boys will have found his happily ever after.

About the book: Re-release October 2014

Real-estate tycoon Hunter Buchanan has a dark past that’s left him scarred and living as a recluse on his family’s palatial estate. Hunter is ready to give up on love—until he spots an enigmatic red-haired beauty and comes up with an elaborate scheme to meet her.

Gretchen Petty is in need of a paycheck—and a change. So when a job opportunity in an upstate New York mansion pops up she accepts. And while she can overlook the oddities of her new job, she can’t ignore her new boss’s delectable body—or his barely leashed temper.

Hunter’s afraid his plan might be unraveling before it’s truly begun, but Gretchen is about to show him that life can be full of surprises…

•••••••••••••••

REVIEW: BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE is the second instalment in Jessica Clare’s adult, contemporary Billionaire Boys Club romance series focusing on six billionaire friends who have vowed success at any cost. This is real-estate tycoon Hunter Buchanan and ghost writer Gretchen Petty’s story-one with a Beauty and the Beast fairy tale premise. Many of Jessica Clare’s Billionaire Boys Club storylines have a definite fairytale or Shakespearean quality.

The focus of the storyline finds reluctant ghost writer Gretchen Petty short on funds and bemoaning her latest story. When an offer from a new publishing firm comes through, Gretchen is curious as to why they want her. Enter reclusive billionaire Hunter Buchanan-a dark and lonely man-whose need for Gretchen sets into motion a relationship that is destined to fail. For all of his success and money, Hunter is a man whose personal life has been damaged by mistrust and betrayal, and a self esteem that has been destroyed by the physical scars upon his face and hand.

Hunter’s attraction to Gretchen was first established in book one STRANDED WITH A BILLIONAIRE when Hunter notices the beautiful red head-from afar. His desire for Gretchen is tempered by his tormented past-a past that has left him disfigured and hiding in the shadows where very few people go. But Gretchen sees something behind the scars-a frightened and lonely man who desires to be loved and accepted for who he is; not what he looks like or the size of his wallet. Hunter is definitely not an alpha male but a man whose personality has been shaped by his scars. The sex scenes are seductive, intimate and revealing; the foreplay and build up finds our couple exploring different opportunities.

The secondary characters include Gretchen’s sisters, her manager and a few friends, as well as some of Hunter’s fellow Billionaire Boys club members. We get a crash course on how NOT to be a butler that allows for a few humorous moments as Gretchen’s sarcastic side makes an appearance.

BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE is an emotional and passionate storyline of acceptance and love. There is romance and sex; betrayal and heartbreak when the lines of communication become bogged down in hearsay and innuendo. A case of mistaken belief pulls our couple apart but not before words are spoken in anger and emotions control the heart.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Re release July 1, 2014

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who are incredibly wealthy—but not always so successful when it comes to love…

With a visit to a recent business acquisition—a private island resort in the Bahamas—billionaire Logan Hawkings has a chance to mend his recently broken heart. But a hurricane, a misplaced passport, and a stalled elevator lead to an encounter with an unusual woman.

Brontë Dawson is down-to-earth, incredibly sensual, and even quotes Plato. She also thinks Logan is simply the hotel’s domineering yet sexy manager. And after several steamy island nights in his arms, Brontë’s ready to give her heart—and her body—to the man in charge. There’s just more to Logan than he’s told her…a billion times more.

 •••••••••••••••••

REVIEW:  STRANDED WITH A BILLIONAIRE is the first instalment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult Billionaire Boys Club romance series focusing on six billionaire friends who have vowed success at any cost. This is billionaire businessman Logan Hawkings and waitress/philosophy graduate Bronte Dawson’s story. Trapped in an elevator then left behind at a private island resort during a hurricane Bronte and Logan will discover that roughing it will take on a whole new meaning. STRANDED WITH A BILLIONAIRE has a decidedly ‘Pretty Woman’ /Cinderella esque feel to the storyline.

Told from third person POV the premise follows Logan and Bronte’s building relationship while struggling to survive in a resort that has been partially destroyed by the weather. When the evacuation notice went up, Bronte found herself searching for her friend’s passport only to realize that the buses had left without her. Stranded together in a disabled elevator, Bronte and Logan will soon discover that the storm brewing outside is nothing compared to the storm brewing between each other. Their rescue and return to civilization will find Bronte walking away when she discovers that Logan has hidden his true identity and the nature of his visit to the islands.

The relationship between our couple is sensual, erotic and necessary. From acquaintances to friends to lovers, Logan and Bronte want one another but returning to the real world sets a string of misunderstandings and emotional upheavals into motion. Bronte is a woman, struggling with her direction in life, who believes she does not measure up to Logan’s lifestyle. Logan is an arrogant, sexy and dominant man who has fallen hard for the feisty philosophy –spouting waitress. He will have to work to restore Bronte’s trust but Bronte is a woman whose fragile ego must learn to accept that the differences between her and the man with whom she has fallen in love are a matter of the heart and the mind.

We are introduced to the group of six billionaire businessmen-friends and former fraternity brothers whose ambition was to succeed at all costs and succeed they have done. Each billionaire will have a story to tell, a lover to find and a happily ever after. Bronte’s co-worker and roommate Gretchen will play a significant role in the next instalment –Beauty and the Billionaire-where Logan’s physically scarred friend Hunter Buchanan finds himself drawn to the spunky coffee-serving barista.

STRANDED WITH A BILLIONAIRE is a romantic, passionate and predictable storyline that introduces the men of the Billionaire Boys Club series. If you are a fan of fairy tale endings with a HEA, then the Billionaire Boys Club series is for you.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 15, 2014

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who have vowed success—at any cost. Not all of them are old money, but all of them are incredibly wealthy. They’re just not always as successful when it comes to love…

As a member of the royal family in a small European country, Griffin Verdi’s presence is requested at the wedding of the century. The scholarly billionaire feels out of his depth in social situations, so a good assistant is required—especially when dealing with royal etiquette.

Unfortunately for Griffin, he’s stuck with Maylee Meriweather, a pretty, charming, and thoroughly unsuitable woman who doesn’t know a thing about high society—but she sure can kiss. Her lack of polish may sink Griffin, because after all, even his money can’t buy class. But through Maylee’s eyes, he’s starting to appreciate the simple things in life—if simple means the most complicated woman he’s ever met.

Maylee is everything Griffin isn’t—and everything he wants—if he can let down his guard and step outside his sheltered world…

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ONCE UPON A BILLIONAIRE is the fourth instalment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult, erotic Billionaire Boys Club series focusing on a secret society of six men (all friends and billionaires) who have vowed financial success. This is Viscount Griffin Verdi and Maylee Meriweather’s story-a retelling of the Cinderella classic- who finds her Prince Charming in the guise of the anti-social billionaire businessman Griffin Verdi. Some of Jessica’s storylines in the Billionaire Boys Club series follow a familiar fairy-tale quality.

When Griffin’s personal assistant Kip Rothwell becomes ill, Grif finds himself in desperate need of temporary help for his trip abroad to his cousin’s royal wedding-enter Maylee Meriweather-Hunter’s (Beauty and the Billionaire) assistant and a true southern redneck. What ensues is a building relationship between a repressed billionaire and a young woman whose only sin is to be born into poverty in small town, Arkansas.

Griffin is a reluctant royal who gave up his title when he left Bellisime to come to America. At eighteen years of age, Griffin found himself alone in a strange country and never looked back. Now that his cousin Alexandra was about to marry an American actor, he was expected to return home for the royal nuptials -a return he did not welcome. With his long time assistant in seclusion with the chicken pox, Griffin found himself disgusted by the appearance, the voice and the mannerisms of the woman who seems lost in a world of high society and billionaire balls.

The relationship between Grif and Maylee is tempestuous at best. Griffin is quick to judge Maylee based on her southern drawal and her unkempt appearance-and to make matters worse, he seems to be attracted to the little nuances that aggravate him the most. Maylee is a woman who welcomes the challenge and she is the perfect foil for Griffin’s uptight manner but there will come a time, when rejection and betrayal hurt beyond words and Maylee knows it is time to move on.

The world building continues throughout the series where we are once again reintroduced to the six billionaires and the secret society they call their own. Their loves, their wives and their growing families all play a secondary role in Grif and Maylee’s story.

ONCE UPON A BILLIONAIRE finds love for bachelor number four but not before harsh words are exchanged; dismissal is a slap in the face; and heartbreak comes at a time when love begins to blossom. Jessica Clare pulls the reader into an emotional storyline when two social misfits find solace in each other’s arms but a solace that may be built on a rocky foundation.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 15, 2013

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who have vowed success–at any cost. Not all of them are old money, but all of them are incredibly wealthy. They’re just not always as successful when it comes to love…

Audrey Petty’s always been the responsible one. The good twin.  Successful, dependable, and trustworthy–that’s Audrey. She’d be the perfect girlfriend for her childhood crush, billionaire Cade Archer…except that she’s pretty sure she’s not even on his radar. But when fate (and her chaotic twin) come together, Audrey finds out that she’ll be spending the next month with Cade at his remote cabin retreat. It’s a dream come true…

Until she meets her worst nightmare.

Billionaire playboy Reese Durham is used to seducing women to get what he wants. But when stiff, too-proper Audrey bursts into the private mountain lodge and scares his companion out the door, it’s time for a little revenge. It’s clear that Audrey’s in love with his buddy, Cade…and it’s clear to Reese that blackmailing Audrey with this information can get her to agree to just about anything. Like furtive kisses in the dark, or a secret rendezvous in the woods. Audrey may think she knows what she wants, but Reese is determined to show her what she needs.

And as Reese discovers the volatile minx behind the buttoned-up exterior, he starts to think maybe she’s just what he needs, too.

••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed is the third storyline in Jessica Clare’s adult contemporary romance series-The Billionaire Boys Club. Although this is the third in the series, the novel can be read as a stand alone but I would suggest reading in order because several of the previous and future storyline characters are present.

The premise focuses on Audrey Petty, her drug addicted and famous twin Daphne and, billionaires Cade Archer and Reese Durham. When Daphne calls from jail, Audrey knows that to save her twin she will need the help of best friend and life long crush Cade. Hoping to make a move on Cade while helping Daphne through a personal detox at Cade’s cabin retreat in the mountains, Audrey will find herself pulled into the vortex known as Reese Durham. Reese had been working on a ‘business deal’ when Audrey discovers the near naked man in the hot tub with a completely naked woman and from the start Audrey and Reese’s relationship is one fueled by anger, attraction and the realization that just because you have fallen in love with your best friend, doesn’t mean he has fallen in love with you.

Throughout the story, Reese continues to push Audrey’s proverbial buttons: from his reputation with the ladies to the way he handles himself in the kitchen, Audrey is both repelled and attracted to the man. But Audrey’s heart has been set on Cade Archer since before her teens and it appears that Cade has his eyes set on someone else.

The relationship between Reese and Audrey continues to grow throughout the novel. Reese’s attempts to pull Audrey out of her ‘Cade addiction’ will be met with bribery, blackmail and fire as Audrey realizes that she is falling for the billionaire playboy whose reputation has preceded Reese and Audrey’s introduction.

The world building continues from books one and two as the ‘billionaire boys club’ will meet towards the end of the storyline where all of the previous and futures couples reunite. But I will add, that I was disappointed with one direction of this particular storyline as it involved Daphne Petty and Cade Archer. Daphne is a piece of work-famous, infamous and a drug addicted singer whose meddling into her sister’s affairs wreaks of a personal vendetta and one that only suits her own desires and needs-and in this, Cade is a willing participant. I do not want to see this relationship progress beyond this particular storyline but who knows how everything will work out in the end.

The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed is a story of friends and lovers; addiction and recovery; and a lover story with a happily ever after.
