REVIEW: SHE LOVES ME is the third instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult HARMONY POINTE erotic romance series-a spin off form the author’s Sugar Lake series. This is former Wall Street investor /bar owner Harley Dutch, and construction worker Piper Dalton’s story line. SHE LOVES ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Harley and Piper) SHE LOVES ME follows the best friends to lovers relationship between former Wall Street investor /bar owner Harley Dutch, and construction worker Piper Dalton. Harley Dutch has been secretly in love with his best friend Piper Dalton for as long as he can remember but Harley’s brother Marshall destroyed our heroine’s heart years before, and Piper has never been able to overcome the betrayal and hurt. When Harley gets injured at work, Piper finds herself looking after her best friend, along with his two young nieces, and the ice around her heart begins to slowly melt. What ensues is the building romance between Harley and Piper, and the potential fall-out as Piper refuses to commit to a happily ever after.

Harley Dutch knows Piper Dalton is the only woman he will ever love but convincing Piper she is worthy of his love takes patience and time. Piper doesn’t do relationships or commitment, and continues to struggle with one past heart break that destroyed her faith in forever and men.

The relationship between Harley and Piper is a best friends to lovers that is threatened by Piper’s inability to let go of the past. One heart breaking betrayal has controlled her future in that she refuses the possibility of marriage and family. Harley is flirty and playful, and his attraction to Piper is threatened by ghosts form the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative. The sexual chemistry is palpable, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several from the aforementioned Sugar Lake series, as well as Piper’s brother Ben and Aurelia (Call Her Mine #1), Mason and Remi (This is Love #2), Harley’s sister Delaney, and her daughters Sophie and Jolie: Piper’s sisters Talia, Willow (Zane), and the introduction of Harley’s brother Marshall.

SHE LOVES ME is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and love; of heart break and recovery; of love, loss, and acceptance. The premise is emotional and engaging; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are charismatic and dynamic. SHE LOVES ME is an encouraging and spirited look at family and friends.

Remi Divine has a stalker whose threats are getting more dangerous and personal. While filming in Harmony Pointe, New York, Remi is assigned security that she continuously refuses to obey or accept.
