ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 16, 2024

Vengeance is the only thing on my mind.
Because nobody comes after my family and lives to talk about it.
But now I have responsibilities I can’t ignore.
And while the arrival of a sweet young woman with a busted face is the answer to my prayers, she’s also on my mind in ways she shouldn’t be.
I’m too old for her, and a relationship wasn’t in my game plan.
Yet, as those who would hurt me close in, I realize there are no lengths I won’t go to to protect the love I’ve claimed.

REVIEW:THE SOULS WE CLAIM is the seventh instalment in Scarlett Cole’s contemporary adult IRON OUTLAWS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is thirty-three year old, Iron Outlaws MC road captain Jackson ‘Halo’ Flynn, and twenty-three year old Arianne ‘Ari’ Osborne’s story line. THE SOULS WE CLAIM can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading books five and six.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Halo and Ari) THE SOULS WE CLAIM follows after the arrival of our story line heroine. Arianne Osborne arrives battered and bruised, in the hopes of attending her older sister’s funeral but with one look, Jackson ‘Halo’ Flynn is determined to claim Arianne Osborne as his own but Ari needs to recover, and Halo’s past refuses to let go. As Arianne continues to heal, Halo must come to a decision about the woman who has stolen his heart. What ensues is the building relationship between Ari and Halo, and the potential fallout as Ari’s past refuses to walk away, and Halo must face a past he knew nothing about.

The world building focuses on death and loss when the Iron Outlaws MC loose one of their own.Jackson ‘Halo’ Flynn is taking the losses personally, while Ari Osborne refuses to be a further burden to anyone else.

The relationship between Ari and Halo begins as mutual attraction but Ari’s ex Patrick refuses to let go, and in this, Halo is battling between head and heart while Patrick continues to plague our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and impassioned-there is a slight daddy / Dom kink .

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including club president Uther ‘King’ Hills, and therapist Rae Miller, Saint and Briar, Iris and Spark, as well as Nico, Switch; Ari’s parents, and her ex Patrick.

THE SOULS WE CLAIM is a story of betrayal, abuse and vengeance; secrets and lies; power and control, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The premise is dark, gritty and dramatic; the romance is fated and furious; the characters are energetic, determined and charismatic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 31, 2023

Rae
When Uther “King” Hills, president of the Iron Outlaws MC, shows up at my home, I know it’s for one thing.
Revenge.
My life for my brother’s, a traitor to the club.
My sacrifice to ensure his loyalty.
But I know a thing or two about tragic kings.
They never win.
What I didn’t know was how they can steal your heart in the process of trying.

King
Rae Miller is my enemy’s little sister.
And I intend to ruin her before I toss her back at her brother’s feet.
Even as my actions tear my club apart.
Except this Shakespeare-quoting fire-cracker has me seeing ghosts.
I don’t scare her. She outwits me at every turn and has a body I can’t get enough of.
The fact I want to kill every person who ever hurt her is irrelevant.

Only, when she’s at risk because of me, I pray the bonds I’ve broken can mend themselves. Because without my club, we don’t have a hope of surviving.

TW: References to past self-harm (cutting) and abuse (not sexual), dubious consent, issues with food preparation (not eating disorders), praise kink.

REVIEW:THE BONDS WE BREAK is the fourth instalment in S. Cole’s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is club president Uther ‘King’ Hills, and therapist Rae Miller’s story line. THE BONDS WE BREAK can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading book three THE LIES WE TELL. Rae is Ryker ‘Saint’ Miller’s sister.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

IMPORTANT: If you have not read THE LIES WE TELL there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (King and Rae) THE BONDS WE BREAK picks up after /crosses over with some of the events of THE LIES WE TELL. Ryker ‘Saint’ Miller has been labelled a betrayer, a traitor to the Iron Outlaws MC, and he is about suffer for who he was, and what he did but King is not satisfied with the outcome, the vote by his brothers, and his inability to get the revenge he so desperately needs so he sets his sights on Saint’s sister Rae Miller, the woman with whom King will fall in love. All does not go according to plan when Rae, with her ability to reason with and understand the mind of a broken man, acquiesces to King’s demands, demands that push our couple together but King does not want to pull Rae into the life of the club, and walks away from the woman he loves. What ensues is the building but contemptuous relationship between King and Rae, and the potential fall-out when the club is targeted, and King is caught in the line of fire.

The world building continues to focus on the impending war between the Iron Outlaws MC and the Righteous Brotherhood, a group who have been targeting the club ol’ ladies, and the president of the Iron Outlaws MC. King, along with several members of the MC, want their proverbial pound of flesh but a vote against sends King into a spiral, demanding his vengeance from our story line heroine.

The relationship between King and Rae begins acrimoniously when King kidnaps Rae with the intent of blackmail and revenge. King wants to hurt Saint by using his sister but King quickly is outfoxed and emotionally overpowered by our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including the previous story line couples: Saint and Briar, Gwen and Clutch, Iris and Spark; established couple Tessa And Track, as well as Nico, Halo and Switch. Not everyone is happy with the decision to ‘save’ Ryker Miller, and allegiances will be divided amongst the once-tight brothers. Nico’s story line is next.

THE BONDS WE BREAK is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and anger, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is heart breaking, dark, and tragic; the romance is twisted and dramatic; the characters are broken, desperate and edgy.

REVIEW:THE SINS WE HIDE is the first instalment in S. Cole’s contemporary adult, IRON OUTLAWS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is Iron Outlaws MC Vice President Landon ‘Clutch’ Bailey, and twenty three year old, Gwen Hills’ story line.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Clutch and Gwen) THE SINS WE HIDE follows in the aftermath of the hit and run death of Arthur ‘Camelot’ Hill, the president of the Iron Outlaws MC. Ten years earlier Gwen and her mother took off in the middle of the night, and entered into the witness protection program after having ‘ratted out’ a member of the Iron Outlaws MC. Fast forward to present day, Gwen’s mother has been murdered, her father dead in a hit and run, and our heroine recovering from a bullet wound, herself. Needing help from her twin brother and new president of the MC, Uther ‘King’ Hill, Gwen returns to the town and MC where everything went down. Considered to be an enemy of the MC, Gwen will come face to face with the man she had always loved, a man who blames her and her mother for all that went wrong but someone has targeted Gwen in a game of cat and mouse, a game now involving the Cartel, and the Irish mob. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Landon and Gwen, and the potential fall-out as Landon’s relationship with Gwen threatens his position in the MC, as the club suspect a mole deep in their depths.

Landon aka Clutch struggles with his attraction to his best friend’s and president’s twin sister Gwen. Gwen is off limits but Gwen has been the only woman to hold his heart.Knowing Gwen has been targeted for who she is, Clutch comes to a decision between his place in the MC and the woman he loves.

The relationship between Gwen and Landon is one of second chances. Ten years earlier Gwen’s life was torn apart, separated from her twin brother and her father, never able to reconnect with the father she loved but her reappearance brings back too many memories of what happened and why, placing Gwen at odds with her brother and the man with whom she had fallen in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive.

Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay.

I’ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and you’ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.

I am represented by Beth Phelan at The Bent Agency, NY.
