He’s just not prepared for the undeniable attraction between them. And with the two of them in one house, there’s no telling who will come out swinging…

Review:
What a Woman by Judi Fennell is the 4th book in her Manley Maids series. If you have read my earlier reviews on this series, the premise is about Mac Manley, the sister who owns Manley Maids and her winning bet with her brothers. The boys had to each spend a few weeks at a different house being a maid, but underneath it all, the grandmother plotted to make the boys find their mates. What a Woman belongs to Mac Manley, as she is pushed as a favor to her grandmother to take care of the house now being lived in my the man who was once her childhood crush, Jared Nolan.

Jared is an injured baseball ballplayer, who is also best friends with the brothers. Mac does not want to deal with Jared, since he was always nasty to her when she was a kid, which hurt her more with her school girl crush.   Now when she is forced to clean Jared’s house, and look at him, she realizes despite her dislike of him, she still feels the attraction. But Mac is determined to be distant, and ignore Jared. She will show him she is the one in charge now. Jared still thinks of Mac, as his friend’s baby sister and isn’t interested. However, as he watches her work, and how she has grown to a beautiful woman, he begins to see her in a new light. By some comments and sarcastic responses from Mac, he realizes how cruel and nasty he was to her during the early years. Determined to change, he finds a wall that will be difficult to break, as Mac will not let herself fall for Jared again.

What follows is a fun storyline, where both Mac and Jared try to keep their feelings private, and not allow their growing attraction for each other become any kind of relationship. There was a lot of humor also in this story, with the doorbell constantly ringing with the women in town who bring baked goods to the handsome baseball star trying to get his attention, which allows Mac to have the upper hand.

This was a sweet romance that built slowly, with each trying to avoid the inevitable. Jared tries to apologize for his cruel behavior as a youth, and Mac just doesn’t want to get hurt again. But the time they spend together will make it difficult, as each begins to see how much they have changed. As they succumb to their feelings, the romance becomes very hot and sizzling the pages (or ereader). Judi Fennell has done it again with another wonderful romance, and a great couple. I look forward to what comes next in her Manley Maids series.

Review:

What a Woman Gets by Judi Fennell is the 3rd book in her wonderful Manley Maids series. In the last book I had mentioned that the 2nd book was even better than the first one. I am going to repeat that. What a Woman Gets is another fabulous fun filled story that even surpasses the first two. Judi Fennell continues to give us wonderful couples that we root for, and has an uncanny ability to hook us in from the start.

For those of you who may not have read my earlier reviews, this series revolves around a bet the three Manley brothers lost to their sister. The payback is they have to spend a few weeks cleaning the houses of those assigned to them. Grandmother Manley is also secretly plotting to push her grandsons to find the right women for them. Sure it sounds cute, but do not let that fool you. This is a terrific series that is fun from the start and as you turn the pages (or glide on your ereader) to the next page, it just gets better and better. So much fun, and sexy as hell.

Cassidy Davenport is our heroine, and Liam is assigned to clean her house for two weeks, as the real maid is on vacation. Liam immediately takes a dislike to Cassidy, as she is everything he hates…rich, beautiful, self-confident, independent and in his mind, a snob. Liam compares her to a former girlfriend who hurt him. Early on Liam annoyed me, I did not like him at all. His treatment of Cassidy wasn’t nice, in fact downright rude.

Once you get past the first few pages, and discover the real Cassidy, we are totally in her corner as she is hit with bombshell. I totally loved loved Cassidy. Cassidy’s filthy rich father is trying to push her to marry one of his management staff, someone much older than Cassidy. Despite her father’s belligerent demands, she refuses and he takes everything away from her; including kicking her out of her apartment. She has no money (he blocked her bank account and took away her cards).

Liam, though still with the attitude brings her to his place, and tells her to pay for room and board, by cleaning his house. What follows is a wonderful story that started out with no hope for this couple, but turned out to be one of the most enjoyable, fun, sexy and hot romances. Liam knows he is attracted to her, but is determined to avoid any closeness with Cassidy. She doesn’t have her clothes, so she wears sweat pants, and even some of Liam shirts, which attracts him even more. Cassidy surprises him, as she works hard to clean the house, and on the side works on what she really loves…fixing up and making old furniture a work of art. One of the best parts of this story is Cassidy’s cute maltese, Titiania, which just added to the fun.

After a bit, I fell in love with Liam too, even though I wanted to smack him a few times. He did see a new light to Cassidy, and helps her find herself in her work. The chemistry between them was sizzling, and we waited patiently for them to act on it. It was worth every waiting moment. When Cassidy’s despicable father tries to threaten Liam and his family to get his daughter to do his bidding, Liam was so supportive of Cassidy that I loved him even more.

This was a wonderful fun filled romance, with so many enjoyable moments all the way through that I did not want this story to end. If you love romance, a hot sexy couple, and a terrific storyline, then look no further then Judi Fennell’s What a Woman Gets.

Then flirtation turns into seduction, and Bryan needs to convince Beth he’s more man than maid—or an actor playing a maid. Because this latest gig as the love of Beth Hamilton’s life just might be the role of a lifetime…

Review:
What a Woman Needs by Judi Fennell is the 2nd book in her wonderful Manley Maids series. I am glad I discovered Fennell in the first book, as she is a wonderful writer, who pulls you into the story right away. The key though is her ability to make you enjoy every moment throughout the story, as well as become totally invested into her fabulous characters. You don’t just fall in love with couple, but also with the secondary characters. This is pure romance, with a couple you are rooting for from the start. As much as I enjoyed the first book, What a Woman Wants, I loved this one even more.

Just in case you missed my earlier review, the premise of this series is how the Manley brothers lose a bet to their sister. She runs Manley Maids, and having won a card game, each of the brothers have to do housecleaning for a few weeks at an assigned client. Our hero in this book is Bryan Manley, who is a gorgeous hunk, and a popular movie star. Bryan is in between his movies, and like his brothers, is not happy to have to be a maid, even for a few weeks, but he honors the bet.

Beth Hamilton is our heroine, who has been widowed for a couple of years. Beth is has no time for any life, as she has 5 children, a dog and cat, who totally run the household. Friends of Beth, trying to find a way for her to get some help, arrange with Manley Maids for a few weeks of help. Of course, no one thought the person coming would be the famous Bryan Manley. When Beth opens the door, she is shocked, as she recognizes who is standing there. What follows is a sweet, wildly fun story of an unlikely romance that begins to build slowly, as you turn each page.

Beth, having her hands full with her family, finds herself attracted to Bryan, but so does all her friends, and everyone else. She ignores her feelings, knowing he is only there for a few weeks, and she does not want to let herself fall for him, since he is a big star, and Beth does not want any kind of spotlight on her family. Bryan though finds himself falling for the beautiful, down to earth Beth, as well as her wonderfully rambunctious family. He wants his career, and knows he doesn’t have time to be in any kind of relationship. Will Beth succumb to Bryan’s hotness? Will Bryan allow himself to stay with Beth and her 5 children? Is there any hope for this relationship?

Judi Fennell has such away with creating characters you care about. Bryan and Beth were a fabulous and hot couple. The children were all wonderful, and it was so nice to see how they became so close to Bryan, and he with them. We even got a kick out of the dog and cat. But best of all was how Fennell continued to build this attraction between a movie star and a mother, who was trying to survive with a family out of control, especially with the death of their father. It was so well done, as we anxiously waited for them to finally succumbed to their lust; and when they did, it was totally sizzling.

This was a wonderful fun filled romance, enjoyable all the way through. If you love romance, a hot sexy couple, a fun family atmosphere, and a wonderful storyline, then look no further then What a Woman Needs.

Review:

What a Woman Wants by Judi Fennell is the first book in her new Manley Maids series.  This is my first book by Judi Fennell and I really enjoyed it. I will be reading more of her books.  This was a sweet fun romance, with a hot couple.  We meet our hero of this book, Sean Manley (he is certainly manly :)) at the start when he and his two brothers lose a bet to their sister, who runs Manley Maids.  The cost for each brother is they are each required to spend two weeks doing maid service at different houses.  This story is about Sean, and our heroine, Livvy.

Livvy Carolla has inherited the Martinson Mansion from her grandmother, whom she has had no relationship, nor has seen much of her almost all of her life.  Livvy is struggling to start her own bakery, and jumps at the chance to use her inheritance to fund her plans.  Livvy arrives at the mansion with the knowledge that she has to complete a few stipulations before she can inherit.  There she meets the maid….hot hot Sean.  She knows nothing about the bet, nor why Sean is doing housekeeping work.  She also doesn’t know that Sean has a secret agenda to make sure Livvy doesn’t do the required stipulations to inherit, because he wants to buy the mansion at a reduced price and turn it into a million dollar resort.

What Sean doesn’t plan on is his immediate attraction to Livvy, which eventually will put a crimp on his plans, unless he can fight off his lust for her.  What follows is wonderfully hot romance, with so much humor within the story.  It seems Livvy has her own Noah’s Ark, and brings all her animals (birds, peacocks, pig, dogs, goats, etc). She planned to put them in the mansion barn, but when that is filled with boxes, they have to stay in the mansion until it is cleared.  Poor poor Sean, who has to clean up after them, but some hysterical moments happen throughout, as these “pets” adore Livvy and at times show their jealousy when Sean and Livvy act on their feelings.

This was fast and fun book to read, as I enjoyed it all. I loved Sean and Livvy together, as they made a hot and sizzling couple.  The storyline with clues to be found was fun, and the animals just added to all the humor. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was Sean’s original attempt to take all of her inheritance away from Livvy, which would have been cruel.  Fortunately this is a happy ending.  If you enjoy romance, sexy couple, great storyline, and cute animals, I wholly recommend that you read What a Woman Wants by Judi Fennell.
