REVIEW:PUSHING STYXX is the tenth and final (?) instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult SATAN’S KEEPERS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is exotic dancer Hope, and Brian ‘Styxx’ Hayes’ story line. PUSHING STYXX can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Styxx and Hope) PUSHING STYXX follows in the wake of the arrival of Hope and her fifteen year old sister Promise. Hope is working as an exotic dancer at the club owner Keepers Temptation but will quickly discover one of the member is her new neighbor Styxx. Six months earlier, Styxx learned he was a father, and the woman who gave his daughter life, died in childbirth. Raising a child takes a family, a family that includes the members of the Satan’s Keepers MC but when Hope and Promise are threatened, Styxx becomes guardian and protector of the woman with whom he will fall in love.
The world building focuses on the building relationship between Styxx and Hope, and the protection of Hope and her sister Promise. The past refuses to let go, targeting the sisters at every turn. With the help of the Satan’s Keepers MC, Styxx is determined to claim Hope as his own, taking down anyone who threatens the woman he loves.
The relationship between Hope and Styxx begins as neighbors and employee/employer. Hope is a dancer who works at Keepers Temptation to put food on the table and pay the bills but raising her fifteen year old sister comes with threats from someone who should promised them help. Styxx never thought he would find love, having lost the only woman that had any chance to tame the beast but Hope’s arrival meant a chance at a future, a future that is threatened by a ghost from the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and protective secondary and supporting characters including Styxx’s brother Scythe and his ol’ lady Josephine, and several members of the Satan’s Keepers MC. We are introduced to a number of the dancers as well as Hope and Promise’s uncle Ron.
PUSHING STYXX is a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, family and relationships, protection and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and engaging;the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are determined and dynamic. PUSHING STYXX introduces the start of the next generation-the author has plans for another spin off.
