The Silver Harbor series is published by Montlake Romance and will be available in paperback and audio formats, and exclusively in digital format for Kindle and Kindle apps.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 26, 2022.

When workaholic Boston attorney Deirdra de Messiéres is passed over for a well-deserved promotion, she takes a two-month hiatus to show her boss just how much he needs her and heads home to Silver Island. But beyond seeing her sisters happy, home is not where Deirdra’s heart is. She has no interest in their family restaurant, the Bistro, or reliving hurtful childhood memories, and absolutely no interest in spending a single second with Josiah “Jagger” Jones, the Bistro’s too-laid-back musician and chef. Sure, the hippie is hot, but he drives her nuts. The guy lives in a van with his dog, and he can’t even commit to a solid work schedule. To make matters worse, he’s always around. She needs to get off the island, stat.

Jagger has overcome his own personal trials to place stock in life’s pleasures: family, friends, peace…and if he has his way, one positively beautiful, absolutely uptight attorney. Jagger knows he’s the perfect person to help Deirdra deal with her hurtful past and find her way back to being happy.

A chance encounter leads to deep conversation, and night after liberating night, Deirdra lets down her guard. But neither is long for Silver Island. Free-spirited Jagger has wanderlust, and Deirdra has a career to return to. They’re on different paths, and plans for a future together don’t stand a chance. But when has anything gone according to plan?

REVIEW:MAYBE WE WON’T is the third instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult SILVER HARBOR erotic, romance series-one of the many spin offs from the author’s Love in Bloom Series. This is twenty-five year old, chef and musician Josiah ‘Jagger’ Jones, and thirty year old attorney Dierdra de Messieres’s story line. MAYBE WE CON’T can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jagger and Dierdra) MAYBE WE WON’T focuses on the building romance and relationship between twenty-five year old, chef and musician Josiah ‘Jagger’ Jones, and thirty year old attorney Dierdra de Messieres. Several months earlier Dierdra’s alcoholic mother died, and our heroine struggled in the aftermath, discovering her mother had a secret that was about to be exposed. Fast forward to present day wherein Dierdra is passed over for a promotion at the law firm, and our heroine embarks on a two month hiatus back home in Silver Island where our heroine will discover there is more to life than working hard for someone else. Enter chef and musician Jagger Jones, and the man with whom Dierdra will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Dierdra and Jagger, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close.

Dierdra de Messieres had left Silver Island in the hopes to never return. Having lived through the loss of her father, and her mother’s spiral into alcoholism, Dierdra’s memories of the past are emotional and heart breaking. But Didi never expected to find herself falling for a man whose life is mostly lived on the road, a life Dierdra would never consider for herself. Spending time in Silver Island, preparing for her sister’s engagement party, Dierdra would find herself facing the past, a past she had pushed behind, and refused to relive. Josiah ‘Jagger’ Jones has always wanted to be a musician but life had other plans including the struggles of his brother who battled autism for as long as he could remember.Jagger had never intended to settle down or stay in one place forever thus working seasonal jobs as a chef then heading back on the road when the weather changed. Falling for Dierdra de Messieres was never in the cards but Jagger’s heart wanted something more than a summer fling with the woman with whom he had fallen in love.

The relationship between Jagger and Dierdra is one of immediate attraction but Dierdra struggles with Jagger’s lack of permanence, and his need to move on whenever the urge hit him hard. Dierdra knew her time and Jagger’s time in Silver Island was coming to a close but our heroine never expected to fall for a man who lifestyle was completely different than her own. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

As per Melissa Foster’s style, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar characters having crossed over from the previous instalments as well as several of the author’s related series. We are reintroduced to Dierdra’s sisters Cait and Abby, as well as many of the locals who live and work in and around Silver Island.

MAYBE WE WON’T is a story of family and friendships, relationships and struggles, acceptance and recognition, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is emotional, entertaining and consuming; the characters are tenacious and dynamic; the romance is seductive and hot.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 2, 2021

After spending years wondering who she was, tattoo artist Cait Weatherby finally found her answers on the sandy shores of Silver Island. With two half sisters she never knew existed, a group of friends she adores, and a devastatingly charming admirer who flirts with her at every turn, she’s ready to figure out her next steps. The trouble is, Cait lives in the shadows of a dark past, and she can’t afford complications that might cause her to lose the family she’s only just found—complications like blue-eyed boatbuilder Brant Remington, who is as open as she is guarded. If only the sexy charmer would take the hint…

Brant is Cait’s opposite in every way, but he’s drawn to everything about the sexy newcomer—from the quiet strength that rivals the caution in her mossy-green eyes to her tough facade that he can’t wait to strip away.

As Brant works his magic, Cait’s walls come down. But as sweet as that feels, Cait knows how quickly good things can turn bad. It’s going to take more than a little trust to beat the ghosts of her past and claim the future they both deserve.

REVIEW:  MAYBE WE SHOULD is the second instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult SILVER HARBOR erotic, romance series-a spin off from the Steeles of Silver Island which in turn is one of several spin offs from the author’s Love in Bloom series. This is thirty-three year old boat builder/search and rescue team member Brant Remington, and thirty-two year old tattoo artist/café owner Cait Weatherby’s story line. MAYBE WE SHOULD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Cait’s story line begins in MAYBE WE WILL.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Brant and Cait) MAYBE WE SHOULD follows the building romance and relationship between thirty-three year old boat builder/search and sea rescue team member Brant Remington, and thirty-two year old tattoo artist/café owner Cait Weatherby. Three months earlier Cait was notified that her birth mother Ava de Messieres had died, and had left a one-third of her Silver Island bistro/café to Cait, along with two half-sisters she knew nothing about. Fast forward to present day wherein Cait, now spending time between her job as a tattoo artist on the Cape, and Silver Island with her new found family struggles with the overwhelming relationships and friendships having lived a life hiding from an abusive past that refuses to let go. Meeting Brant Remington stirs something deep within our story line heroine but Cait’s demons hold tight, as Cait continues to push Brant out of her life but a close call finds Cait rescued by our story line hero, a hero who wants something more from the woman with whom he will quickly fall in love. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Cait and Brant, and the potential fall-out as Cait must face her past before considering her future, or anything permanent with the man that she loves.

Cait Weatherby lost everything the day her adoptive mother died, and in the ensuing years lived a life in the shadows fearing for the day that her life would come to an end. Struggling to leave that part of her life behind, Cait doesn’t make friends easily, and continues to battle with issues of trust. Brant Remington comes from a large and loving family that love and support one another no matter the cost. Pulling Cait into the arms of his friends and extended family was a bit overwhelming, and Cait struggled to feel accepted as one of their own.

The relationship between Grant and Cait begins as friendship, as Grant realizes there is more to Cait than meets the eye. Grant suspects the demons from her past are refusing to let go, and with that, Grant is willing to wait until Cait is secure enough to trust our hero with her heart and her soul. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters, many of whom were introduced in the author’s numerous, other series. We are reintroduced to Cait’s half sisters Abby and her fiance Aiden (Maybe We Will 1), Boston attorney de Deirdra Messieres, and Brant’s amazing and supporting family and group of friends.

MAYBE WE SHOULD is a story of struggle and acceptance, trust and revelations, friendships, relationships, family and love. The premise is emotional and heart breaking; the romance is captivating and intense; the characters are energetic, lively, and enterprising.

When chef Abby de Messiéres returns to Silver Island with her sister to get their late mother’s affairs in order, she expected to inherit her mother’s bistro along with their childhood home, not to discover a half sister they never knew existed, and a handsome vacationer camped out on her mother’s patio.

Workaholic Aiden Aldridge has been sent to Silver Island on a work-free vacation, armed with a “Let Loose List,” and ordered to get a life by the much-younger sister he raised after the death of their parents. After years of focusing on his sister’s well-being, he’s blindsided by his intense attraction to the gorgeous, free-spirited Abby.

Aiden might not know much about chilling out, but he’s excellent at striking deals. He helps Abby with the restaurant in exchange for her help in tackling the items on his list. Sparks fly as Aiden and Abby work, and play, side by side. Intimate conversations lead to steamy kisses and undeniable passion. But there’s more to Aiden then Abby knows, and when the truth comes out, their new romance is put to the test, as the two find out if true love really can conquer all

REVIEW:MAYBE WE WILL is the first instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult SILVER HARBOR erotic, romance series-a spin off from the author’s The Steeles of Silver Island which in turn is one of several spin offs from the author’s Love in Bloom series. This is twenty-eight year old, chef Abby deMessieres, and thirty-eight year old, investor Aiden Aldridge’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Aiden and Abby) MAYBE WE WILL focuses on twenty-eight year old, Abby deMessieres upon her return to Silver Island following the death of mother, a woman who struggled in the years following the death of her beloved husband. The reading of the will revealed a few surprises for Abby and her sister Deirdra but Deirdra continues to struggle with her mother’s emotional fall-out since the death of their father, and offers her share of the family owned Bistro to our story line heroine. Meanwhile, Abby reconsiders the direction of her life including reopening the restaurant that held many family memories, memories and reminders of what was and what will never be. When a stranger offers to help reinvigorate the once thriving family owned business, Abby finds herself falling for a man who is only in town for a very short time. Enter investor Aiden Aldridge. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Abby and Aiden, and the potential fall-out as Aiden’s secret is about to be exposed.

Aiden Aldridge raised his younger sister after the accident that took the life of their parents but Aiden never took time for himself and in this, Aiden’s sister Remi, sends her brother on a month long vacation with a bucket list of to dos, in an effort to give her brother a chance at a real life. Aiden never expected to lose his heart to our story line heroine, heart that sits precariously on the edge of cliff when his secret is discovered.

The relationship between Aiden and Abby begins as a ‘chance meeting’ wherein Aiden is found camping out on Abby’s mother’s front door. Claiming he liked the view, Aiden would begin a slow seduction of our story line heroine, a seduction that is met with an equal attraction between Abby and our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

As per Melissa Foster’s style of writing, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting story line characters, many if not most of whom were introduced in the a number of the author’s other series. The camaraderie between characters is fun, fresh and feisty-you always feel like a part of the family when it is their turn to say goodbye.

MAYBE WE WILL is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of secrets, lies, history and acceptance. The premise is heart warming and emotional- I guessed the twist within the first few pages of the book; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic, sassy and real.
