ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October

Known as the team loner, Riggs Nadeau gives his all on the ice, but nothing extra off it. A beautiful stranger is about to cause chaos in his very structured world.

As a professional hockey player, people think I live a charmed life. On the surface, I do. But they don’t know the horrors of my childhood, or the real reason that I have custody of my seventeen-year-old sister, Janelle. And that’s exactly the way I like it. They may think I’m a prick because I don’t like to share, but that’s fine. They don’t know me, and they don’t need to.

In an effort to help Janelle get settled in Phoenix and stay out of trouble at school, I set her up with a job at Clarke’s Corner, the local bookstore owned by the girlfriend of a teammate. It’s there that she makes friends with Veronica Woodley, the extremely annoying, arrogant, money-hungry divorcee who I don’t want anywhere near my sister. Janelle insists I’m completely wrong about Veronica, but I refuse to accept that. I have to keep reminding myself that that the gorgeous blond with legs for days is off limits.

Through a series of events, I start to see Veronica for what she really is—an amazing woman who has survived her own hell to come out even stronger. I have to admit, we’re more alike than not and the attraction between us burns hot.

Maybe I was all wrong about my ability to love and commit, but when the past comes back to haunt me, can I be the man that Veronica, and Janelle, deserve?

REVIEW:RIGGS is the eleventh instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the professional hockey team the Arizona Vengeance. This is twenty-eight year old, defenseman Riggs Nadeau, and divorcee Veronica Livingston’s story line. RIGGS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary..

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Riggs and Veronica) RIGGS follows the cautious but caustic relationship between twenty-eight year old, defenseman Riggs Nadeau, and divorcee Veronica Livingston. Riggs Nadeau has sole custody of his seventeen year old half-sister Janelle, and in this Riggs struggles to be present for a young woman whose past is mired in trauma and neglect. When Aaron Wylde’s girlfriend Clarke offers a part time job to Riggs’ sister, all bets are off when Riggs comes face to face with Clarke’s best friend the feisty divorcee Veronica Livingston. From the outset, Riggs is put off by our heroine’s demeanor, including what appears to an over the top arrogance and desperation for money but all is not as it appears to be as Riggs quickly discovers there is more to Veronica’s story than he could have ever imagined. What ensues is the back and forth, frenemies with benefits relationship between Riggs and Veronica, and the potential fall-out as Riggs and Janelle’s past comes barrelling into the present, causing problems for everyone concerned.

Riggs and Janelle struggled in their earlier years but Riggs was lucky with his love for hockey. Having battled between head and heart to leave Janelle behind, Riggs will soon discover that Janelle was not in a good place, and Riggs would have to step up and take over. Veronica Livingston knows the downfall of power, control and loss having lived a life under the thumb of a controlling man. Never wanting to fall in love again, our heroine is reluctant to start something with our story line hero, a man whose outward appearance is cold and dark.

The relationship between Riggs and Veronica begins acrimoniously when an off-handed comment sets our hero on edge. Believing Veronica is nothing but a money-hungry woman, Riggs stops at nothing to ensure Veronica knows he is not interested but Veronica gives as good as she gets, and in this, our heroine is willing to go toe to toe with the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous story line couples. We are reintroduced to former Vengeance goalie Baden Oulett, a man who was left for dead following his rescue of a stranger, as well as Riggs’ half-sister Janelle. Baden’s story line is next.

RIGGS is an emotional story of dysfunction, family, friendships and relationships. The premise is consuming and riveting; the romance is sensual and provocative; the characters are impassioned, determined and a little bit broken.

JETT (Arizona Vengeance 10) by Sawyer Bennett-Review &Giveaway

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 20, 2021

Jett Olsson isn’t looking for anything serious and she’s not looking for anything at all, so why does it seem so hard to keep it professional?

I love my life—the thrill of being on the ice as part of the Arizona Vengeance, the rush of winning, the adoration of the fans. And if that adoration means I don’t have to spend the night alone, well even better. I’m content being single and always ready to mingle.

But the day Emory Holland walks into a Vengeance team meeting my attention is caught like never before. I can tell right away she’s full of smarts and sass, and the fact that she’s hot as hell sure doesn’t hurt either. She immediately shuts down my advances, so I opt for the road less traveled—straight to the friend zone.

My approach works like a charm, and when she invites me into her bed for a no-strings, friends-with-benefits arrangement, I vow to give her everything I have. She’s been hurt before, and if I’m able to help her heal while giving her a spectacularly satisfying time *pats self on back*, then I’ll be happy.

Or at least that’s the lie I keep telling myself as the time ticks down on the final buzzer of our “relationship”. Now the real question is, can I score the winning goal in a game neither of us realized we were playing?

REVIEW: JETT is the tenth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the members of the professional hockey team the Arizona Vengeance. This is twenty-six year old, right-winger Jett Olsson, and the Vengeance’s Vice President of Digital Marketing and Analytics / single mother Emory Holland’s story line. JETT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jett and Emory) JETT focuses on the building romance and relationship between twenty-six year old, hockey player Jett Olsson, and the Vengeance’s Vice President of Digital Marketing and Analytics / single mother Emory Holland. Emory Holland is new to the Arizona Vengeance, and the Phoenix area but a business meeting with Jett Olsson stirs something in our story line heroine but dating a player means crossing the line. Giving in to her emotions, Emory offers Jett a friends with benefits type of arrangement, an arrangement that is about to turn into something more. What ensues is the building relationship between Emory and Jett, and the potential fall-out as Emory’s past returns wanting a second chance.

Emory Holland is a divorcee; a single mother whose ex is no longer in the picture, and as such, Emory struggles with issues of trust, as it pertains to her hearts, and that of her seven year old daughter Felicity. Emory knows Jett’s reputation off the ice is a bit of a player but Emory’s heart wants more than she could have ever thought possible. Jett Olsson never expected to fall hard for a woman, having seen his fellow teammates fall hard and fast but something about Emory draws Jett like a ‘moth to a flame’, a moth that is about to get burned when Emory’s past threatens our heroine’s well ordered life.

The relationship between Jett and Emory begins as a business arrangement; co-workers of a sort who both work for the Arizona Vengeance. Emory is unsure as to the reactions of the franchise but Jett wants nothing more than to claim Emory as his own. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Emory’s seven year old daughter Felicity, her sister Jenna, and he ex Shane Kelly, as well as team owner Dominik Carlson, injured player Baden Oulett, defenseman Riggs Nadeau, and several members of the Arizona Vengeance.

JETT is a story of family, relationships and love; of camaraderie and friendships; second chances and moving on. The premise is thought provoking, emotional and real; the romance is provocative yet tender; the characters are sassy, determined and spirited.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 8,2020

A second chance may be just what James Steele needs…

I might be one of the older players on the Arizona Vengeance, but I like to think that also makes me one of the wisest. Or at least I used to.

Turns out, I’ve been a bit selfish. I’ve been married to hockey and my team for years, which hasn’t left much time for my actual wife, Ella. Now I’m juggling a separation I never wanted, the pressure of being a single dad to our teenage daughter, and the career I sacrificed it all for.

While my game on the ice might be on fire, the game in my personal life is clearly lacking, as evidenced by the fact I just saw my wife on a date with another man. If I have any hope of saving the family I love, I need to re-prioritize, and fast. So it’s time for me to get back to fundamentals, just like I did when I learned how to play hockey. I’ve never backed down from a challenge, and romancing my wife is a challenge I am very much looking forward to.

Time to put on my game face, because I’m in it to win it.

Five months earlier James Steele was taken by surprise when his wife Ella, the woman he loved, asked him to move out of the family home. Having no idea what had happened or why, Steele is floored when Ella tells him she feels taken for granted, and she and their daughter Lucy are no longer a priority for the husband and father he is supposed to be. Hoping to woo back his wife, James sets into motion a plan to seduce the woman he loves in an effort to make whole the family he destroyed. What ensues is the rekindling romance and relationship between James and Ella, and the potential fall-out as the game of hockey , once again, takes center stage.

The relationship between James and Ella is one of second chances. For years Ella no longer felt she was a high priority in her husband’s life, and the game of hockey took up all of his time. Missing his daughter’s recitals, and school events were the final straw, and Ella made a decision to move on without the man that she loved. James Steele struggled in the five months he was separated from his family, even resorting to stalking the woman that called to his heart. Proving himself worthy, James would have to seduce Ella, in an effort, to put his family back together, again. ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 15, 2020.

Are you ready for Kane Bellan’s story?

I have a problem.

Potential problem?

I’m not really sure. Here’s the deal.

There’s this girl—isn’t that how it always starts?—and her name is Mollie. I like her. I mean really like her. I hope that doesn’t make me seem less manly than my professional hockey player persona implies. But here’s the issue—she’s my best friend. The one person I can count on for everything, who’s been there with me for all the moments, big and small.

When Mollie shows up at my door, travel weary and scared following an incident with an ex, my instinct to protect her goes into overdrive. It’s then that I know she’s more than just my best friend and the skates are swept out from under me when I find out she feels the same way.

Our transition from friends to lovers to potentially something more is seamless, the Arizona Vengeance is back on the ice looking for a repeat championship, and my life has never been better. Just when I think I’ve got it all figured out, the realities of us both having careers which keep us on the road put our blossoming relationship on ice.

It feels like the game just went into overtime and I’m on the verge of either the biggest win or most disappointing loss of my life. And losing is never an option.

WYLDE (Arizona Vengeance #7) by Sawyer Bennett-Review Tour

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play

There’s a reason they call me Wylde and it’s not just because it’s my last name.

I might be one of the newest players on the Arizona Vengeance team, but I’m no stranger to the celebrity that goes along with being a professional hockey player. Whether it’s a fan seeking an autograph or a puck bunny looking for more, I’ve grown used to the attention. I not only thrive on it; I use it to my advantage. Let’s just say my bed is rarely empty.

When a quirky redhead at the local bookstore stops me dead in my tracks, I decide to pop in and turn on the trusty Wylde magic. As smart and strong-willed as she is beautiful, Clarke Webber isn’t swayed by my witty banter or charming good looks. And when she realizes who I am and the fame that comes along with it, she likes me even less. Thankfully, I’m always up for a challenge. The more I get to know about her, the more I know my playboy days are behind me.

If I’m going to capture Clarke’s heart, it’s time to be a lot less Wylde, and a lot more Aaron.

•••••••••••

REVIEW:WYLDE is the seventh full-length instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the members of the Arizona Vengeance professional hockey team. Aaron Wylde is Arizona Vengeance’s Tacker Hall’s best friend, and Aaron has watched his friend struggle with demons from the past. Knowing something is fueling Clarke Webber’s refusal to date a celebrity, Aaron bides his time as he slowly seduces the woman with whom he will fall in love. I swing open the door, eager to see Mrs. Filmore because she’s an excellent baker, but am stunned stupid when I see Rafe standing there with two grocery bags in hand.
I left him at his parents’ house not more than an hour and a half ago. There was no kiss goodbye, only a promise to call me later. I didn’t know what to—or if I should—read into that. The kiss would have implied some lingering affection; the lack of implying the sex was a one-time-only thing, and perhaps a mistake. Yet the promise to call spoke to wanting to see me again. Or maybe we’d just go back to being tentative friends.
Ugh. So confusing. In the moment, the only thing I can think to say is, “What are you doing here?”
“I missed you, too,” he replies with a sly grin, pushing his way into my apartment.
“Why don’t you come on in?” I mutter sarcastically and close the door, noting how good he smells as he passes me. “But, seriously…why are you here?”
Rafe takes a moment to survey my small apartment and then moves into the kitchen. He holds up the grocery bags. “I thought we could hang. I brought all the makings for tacos, and we can watch movies or something. Really great apartment, by the way. It’s totally you.”
I pad across the small living area and rest my forearms on the counter that separates it from the kitchen. He starts unloading the bags—ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, a six-pack of beer.
“Dad’s sleeping, and Mom’s doing some spring cleaning,” he explains as he moves to put the items in my fridge. “She shooed me out of the house, and I thought we could hang.”
“Hang?” I ask skeptically. What does that even mean?
And then it dawns on me.
“Oh,” I drawl in amusement. “You want sex again?”
Rafe pops straight up, looking at me over the refrigerator door, his eyebrows raised in surprise. “You offering?”
“Um,” I reply, unsure of myself.
He grins at me. “As much as you totally rocked my world today at the pond, Poppy, I really just thought we could hang out. Get to know each other again.”
My eyebrows draw inward, and I’m more confused now than ever. I rocked his world? Really?
Why I flush with pride is beyond me, but what makes a girl feel good is what makes a girl feel good.
Rafe shuts the fridge and moves around the kitchen counter to me. He takes my hand in his, covers it with his other, and brings them to his chest, his expression somber. “I know I can’t possibly hope for you to understand what I did to you eight years ago, and I know it’s likely a lot of wishful thinking that you could forgive me completely. But right now, we reconnected, and I want to see where this goes. Today with you has been the best day since I found out about my dad. I guess I just want more of it.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 18, 2020

I built myself up from nothing. A product of the foster care system, I learned early on how to fight hard to get what I want. Whether it was starting my first company in college, earning my first billion, or buying my first professional sports team, I know how to get what I want, when I want it.

Until now.

Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.

I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.

But I’ve never been a quitter.

Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.

REVIEW: DOMINIK is the sixth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE, erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the professional hockey team the Arizona Vengeance-a spin off from the author’s Carolina Cold Fury Hockey series. This is billionaire businessman and team owner Dominik Carlson, and photojournalist Willow Monahan’s story line. DOMINIK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s Cold Fury, and Jameson Force Security series. Willow is Arizona Vengeance left winger Dax Monahan’s sister.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Willow and Dominik) DOMINIK follows the building romance and relationship between billionaire businessman and team owner Dominik Carlson, and photojournalist Willow Monahan. Willow Monahan and Dominik Carlson met months before but Willow’s job takes her to some of the most dangerous places in the world. While Willow struggles with Dominik’s attention, Dominik finds himself pulled into the aura that is our story line heroine but when Dominik discovers the truth about Willow’s dangerous career, Dominik battles between head and heart when it comes to Willow’s security and safety. What ensues is the building romance between Willow and Dominik, and the potential fall-out as Willow is unable to let go of the past, a past that affects every relationship going forward.

Willow Monahan doesn’t do relationships; she has been burned in the past and refuses to look towards a future with Dominik Carlson. Dominik wants something more from our story line heroine but his own happily ever after was not in the cards. Refusing to step back from the dangerous situations, Willow is willing to risk her own life when things begin to spiral out of her control.

The relationship between Dominik and Willow is one of immediate attraction but Willow is all about her independence and freedom, an independence that places Willow in the direct line of fire. Dominik struggles with the danger and life threatening work of which Willow is involved but his personal fear is a warning signal to Willow Callahan who refuses to step back or step down as it pertains to her career. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story line couples, as well as Rafe Simmons, and Aaron Wylde; and the Monahan clan.

DOMINIK continues to focus on the run for the championship; the camaraderie of friendship and players on the Arizona Vengeance; and the personal lives and fall-out of illness and injury. The premise is engaging and engrossing; the characters are stubborn, strong and sensitive; the romance is spicy and spirited. DOMINIK is a captivating and compelling addition to the Arizona Vengeance hockey romance series.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 5, 2019

I am not okay.

Fifteen months ago, my life was turned upside down when the plane I was piloting went down. Injured and trapped in the wreckage, I had to watch my fiancée die a painfully slow death, which is something that can really mess with your head.

Since that day, I’ve had little desire to do much of anything. Except play hockey, that is. Because that is the one place where the bad memories are banished and I can escape my pain.

But off the ice, I’m spiraling out of control. Losing the grip on my life and putting myself and my career in danger. Now, thanks to a string of bad decisions, I’ve been ordered to complete therapy in order to stay on the team.

The problem? Nora Wayne, my beautiful and somewhat unconventional therapist. I can’t buy into the brand of happy clappy crap this woman is feeding me. What could she possibly understand about the type of loss that I’ve suffered? How does she know anything about finding happiness after losing the most important person in your life?

Turns out, I’ve got a lot to learn, and she’s just the person I need to break through those walls I’ve erected.

I am not okay.
But for the first time in a long time, I know that I will be.

REVIEW:TACKER is the fifth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE hockey romance series focusing on the Arizona Vengeance hockey team. This is team captain Tacker Hall, and thirty-two year old, counsellor Nora Wayne’s story line. TACKER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order as Tacker’s story slowly develops throughout the series.

NOTE: Some of the events in TACKER cross over with, and run parallel to some of the events in book four DAX.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tacker and Nora) TACKER follows the building but forbidden relationship between Arizona Vengeance team captain Tacker Hall, and counsellor Nora Wayne. Fifteen months earlier Tacker Hall’s fiancé was killed in a plane crash, a plane in which Tacker was the pilot. Fast forward to present day wherein Tacker’s life is spiralling out of control, a spiral of which he may never recover. Forced into mandatory counselling or consider himself no longer a member of the team Tacker Hall comes face to face with his future in the guise of Nora Wayne, a counsellor who owns and runs a healing ranch where human and horses learn to get along. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Nora and Tacker as our couple learn to let go of the past, a past that is equally traumatic for our story line heroine.

Tacker Hall suffers with the remorse of survivor’s guilt, and the ongoing belief he was responsible for the death of his beloved fiance. Unable to let go, Tacker’s remorse continues to affect his life both on and off of the ice, so much so that Tacker considers ending it all. Meeting Nora Wayne sparks something deep within our story line hero something he hasn’t felt for a very long time. Nora Wayne knows the heart break of survivor’s remorse more so than anyone could have imagined but our heroine uses her experience to empathize with those who are struggling with their own hurt and unimaginable shame. Meeting Tacker Hall pulls Nora out of her comfort zone, allowing her to consider a future with the man with whom she will fall in love.

The relationship between Tacker and Nora is one of immediate attraction but Nora was hired by the Arizona Vengeance in an effort to pull Tacker out of his depression otherwise Tacker’s career was on the blocks. Nora knows to cross the line with Tacker could mean professional misconduct but Tacker takes the extra step in an effort to protect Nora from their palpable sexual attraction. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to the teammates, significant and staff of the Arizona Vengeance: Bishop and Brooke, Erik and Blue, Legend and Pepper, Dax and Regan Coach Claude, and team owner Dominik Carlson, newest team member and Tacker’s best friend Aaron Wylde, as well as ranch hand Raul Vargas. The team dynamic is changing with the influx of significant others, a dynamic that brings the teammates closer together.

TACKER is a story of heartache, grief, tragedy and recovery; second chances and letting go. The premise is emotional, inviting and engaging; the characters are broken, colorful, energetic but on the mend; the romance is seductive and intimate. TACKER is a raw and gritty look at the power of guilt, and the steps to bring grievers back into the light.
