REVIEW: ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU is the thirteenth instalment in Erika Kelly’s contemporary, adult CALAMITY FALLS erotic, romance series. This is business owner/mine owner/assayer Beau Gentry, and Margot Rhodes’ story line. ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Margot and Beau) ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU follows in the aftermath of the break down of both Margot and Beau’s respective marriages. Approximately eight months earlier, Margot discovered her husband of twenty-seven years was having an affair, and wanted out of their marriage. Fast forward to present day, Margot, the mother of two grown adult children, is now living and working in Merry Falls. Margot will come face to face with miner Beau Gentry, a divorced father of three adult children, and the man with whom Margot will fall in love. In the days before the Christmas holidays, Beau will be spending time in Merry Falls with his youngest daughter Jessa, time in which he will come to know the local barista, and artisan Margot Rhodes but a snowstorm is about to ruin the plans for everyone including Margot and Beau, a snowstorm that is about to push together our story line couple. Not wanting to leave Margot behind, Beau offers Margot the chance at a new life, a new life that quickly reflects what was and what will never be. What ensues is rapidly building romance and relationship between Margot and Beau, and the potential fall-out as Margot struggles with her position in Beau’s life, a position that is all too familiar for a woman who is refusing to relive a difficult time from her past.

The world building focuses on the lives, loves, marriage and divorces of our story line couple. Both single parents of adult children, Beau and Margot’s children play a significant role in each of their lives but Beau is keeping secrets, and it is these secrets that force Margot to reconsider everything going forward.

The relationship between Margot and Beau is one of immediate attraction but Margot believes she is not ready for a second chance at love. In the days leading to Christmas, Beau begins a subtle seduction of our story line heroine, a seduction that pulls Margot into the lives of Beau, his children, and a business that will quickly spiral out of control. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to an eclectic cast of secondary and supporting characters: Margot’s ex Scott, and their children Owen and Emerson: Beau’s children Lorelei, Jessa and Colt, and Colt’s son Walker.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU is a story of second chances, of a sorts. A romantic, holiday tale of family, obligations, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is captivating, entertaining and at times, heart breaking; the romance is seductive and flirtatious; the characters are dynamic, determined, lost but healing.

REVIEW: TRULY MADLY DEEPLY is the twelfth instalment in Erika Kelly’s contemporary, adult CALAMITY FALLS erotic, romance series. This is twenty-eight year olds, NHL team owner/rancher/single father Jaime Dupree, and baker Grace Giordano’s story line. TRULY MADLY DEEPLY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but for backstory and cohesion I recommend reading books ten and eleven where the current story line arc begins. If you have not read any of the previous instalment there may be spoilers in my review.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several months earlier, upon the sudden death of former professional hockey player and team owner Kurt Grevers, Kurt bequeathed his NHL team to four friends: Declan, Cole, Booker and Jaime but Declan and Cole were still active players, and Booker wanted nothing to do with the NHL leaving Jaime Dupree as the lone hands on owner. Jaime continues to struggle with demons from the past, demons that left him battling grief and guilt in the wake of almost losing everything and more.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Grace and Jaime) TRULY MADLY DEEPLY follows in the aftermath of the almost wedding between Grace Giordano and her long term boyfriend/fiancé Ian. Desperate to escape a marriage to a man whose secrets are dark and expensive, Grace hitches a ride with one of the groomsmen, NHL team owner Jaime Dupree. In the hopes of managing her own life and future, Grace begins working in the small town of Calamity, Wyoming. A baker and pastry chef by trade, Grace is hoping to move out from under the shadow of her big, Italian family, and starting over in Calamity may be the perfect arrangement but Grace never expected to fall in love with Jaime Dupree and his six year old daughter Kinsley, a man who is struggling with demons of his own. A friendship destroyed by childhood fun rendered Jaime a shell of his former self, unable to move beyond the guilt he has burdened for years. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Grace and Jaime, and the potential fall-out as Grace’s love for Jaime isn’t strong enough to keep the demons at bay.

Jaime Dupree continues to struggle with the guilt and grief of loss, not the loss of life, but the loss of a friendship, of a career, and the guilt of destroying the life of someone he loved. A second chance at happiness finds Jaime falling for our story line heroine but even love cannot overcome the guilt of the past. Grace Giordano, along with all of her extended family, has worked in the family bread business for as long as she can remember but Grace is hoping for something more, and an opportunity presents itself in Calamity Wyoming, an opportunity that may end before it has a chance to grow.

The relationship between Grace and Jaime begins as a run away bride scenario. Jaime is in the right place to rescue our story line heroine, a woman who has been betrayed by the man she once loved. Falling for Jaime was never in the cards, a man who refuses to cross the line between friendship and love but a man who is unable to let go of the past. Jaime never expected to find love with our story line heroine but his demons continue to control every aspect of his life, pushing our heroine to reconsider her own future. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large cast of secondary and supporting characters including Grace’s ex Ian; Jaime’s precocious six year old daughter Kinsley, as well as both of Jaime and Grace’s extended families, families, Calamity Wyoming locals, all of whom are very supporting, loving and strong.

TRULY MADLY DEEPLY is a story of family, friendships, relationships, and love; grief and guilt; loss and acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is emotional, heart breaking and engaging; the romance is seductive; the characters are numerous, broken, captivating and energetic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 24, 2022.

He’s a rough and rugged hockey player. She’s a posh British princess. To win an enormous inheritance, they’re forced to live together.

This is not going to go well.

When his former hockey coach passes away, Declan Cadell is shocked to learn the man left him a cattle ranch. Well, not exactly. He’s got one little hurdle to jump first. He has to win a trivia contest against the man’s estranged daughter. Oh, and there’s a caveat: he’s only in the running if he lives and works with the spoiled princess who blew off one of the greatest men he’s ever known.

As if it wasn’t hurtful enough that Seraphina Crutchley’s biological father replaced her with a bunch of sweaty hockey boys, now he’s forcing her to vie for her inheritance with one of them. Worse, the guy clearly can’t stand her because if—no, when she wins the contest—she’ll sell the land and return home to London. Why on earth would she keep a cattle ranch in Wyoming?

But Seraphina comes to learn the contest is about so much more than a ranch. It’s about learning who her father was and why he stopped asking to see her. It’s about falling in love…and finding the courage to fight for it.

REVIEW: THE DEEPER I FALL is the ninth instalment in Erika Kelly’s contemporary, adult CALAMITY FALLS erotic romance series focusing on the men and women of Calamity Fall, Wyoming. This is hockey coach Declan Cadell, and twenty-four year old British socialite Seraphina ‘Phinny’ Crutchley’s story line. THE DEERER I FALL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Declan and Phinny) THE DEEPER I FALL follows in the aftermath of a rejected proposal, and the sudden death of Seraphina Crutchley’s estranged American father, former professional hockey player Kurt Grevers. At the reading of the will, Seraphina will come face to face with the boys, now men, she believes stole her father from a life time of love but conditions of the will find our heroine remaining in Calamity Fall, in the hopes of ‘winning’ the ranch where she doesn’t belong, a contest that will pit Seaphina Crutchley against Declan Cadell. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Phinny and Declan, and the potential fall-out as Seraphina and Declan‘s ideas and hopes for the ranch are in total opposition to one another.

Seraphina Crutchley has not seen her father since she was six years old, and has been led to believe she was never wanted. With a chip on her shoulder, and ice in her heart, Seraphina returns to the home she can no longer remember but a home that will reveal memories of a time where she was happy and loved. Declan Cadell and his ‘former best friends’ Cole, Jaime and Booker, had always thought of Kurt as a second father. Kurt Grevers had taken the young boys in hand, teaching them about a game with would all come to love, a game that would see Kurt a successful businessman and rancher, and respected member of Calamity Falls. Declan and his friends have a past of their own, a past that continues to fester between the once tight-knit group of friends. Believing Seraphina is nothing but a gold digger and British snob, Declan and our heroine are about to be pitted against one another for ownership of Kurt Grevers legacy and love.

The relationship between Declan and Phinny begins acrimoniously as our heroine wants nothing to do with her father, the ranch and the men he loved more than his own flesh and blood but the longer Seraphina remains in Calamity Falls, the more will be revealed about the man she never knew, and the man with whom she is falling in love. Declan wants to protect his mentor’s legacy but falling for Seraphina was never meant to be. Seraphina has different plans for her late father’s ranch, a ranch that holds most of Declan’s memories from a time long ago. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Declan’s former friends now business partners: Cole Montgomery, Jaime Dupree, and Booker, as well as attorney Harrison Goodman; Seraphina’s parents Andrew and Lucinda Crutchley, Kurt’s former love interest Glori Van Patten, house manager Tina, Brodie and Rosie Bowie (Just the Way You Are 4), as well as several ranch hands and townsfolk who reaffirm everything Phinny thought to be true, was a lie. Cole Montgomery’s story is next.

THE DEEPER I FALL is a story of family and relationships, betrayal and heart break, secrets and lies, love and acceptance. The character driven premise is emotional, captivating and engaging; the romance is intimate and intoxicating; the characters are edgy, broken, animated and lost.

Jinx had opened his heart to her, and it was time she did the same. “I’m ready.”
He looked confused. “For?”
“I’m done fighting my feelings for you. It was easy to push you away when it was nothing more than physical attraction. You’re gorgeous, and you’ve got a body to die for. Those things I could resist. But you’re the kindest, sweetest, most generous man I’ve ever known. And…” Tears burned.
“No, no more tears. I can’t take it.”
She shook her head. She needed to say this. “But you’re so good with my son.” She held his gaze, and emotion swelled so big and hard she couldn’t contain it. “I like you so much, Jinx, and I…” She got up on her toes, clasped a hand around his neck and drew his mouth down to hers. “I really want to kiss you.”
The first brush of lips sent sparks shooting through her. This big, hard muscled man was so gentle, his lips soft. He kissed her like she was a precious thing, like he wanted to savor this moment he’d waited so long for.
But she was too needy, too desperate for him. Licking into his mouth, she felt a shudder run through his body. When their tongues collided, the world burst into a shower of stars, and—Oh, my God—she’d never wanted anyone the way she wanted him. “You think your mom will mind if we leave without her?”
Grabbing her hand, he led her across the dance floor and whispered into his mom’s ear. She glanced to Skylar, looking concerned.
When he came back to her, she said, “What did you tell your mom?”
“I might’ve said I needed to get you to bed.”
“You what?” She nudged him. “You did not tell your mom we’re leaving to have sex.”
He grinned.
“Jinx.”
Right there on the dance floor, he cupped her chin, forcing her to look him in the eyes. “Just so we’re clear, I get that you’re away from your son, you’re in Vegas, and you want to have some fun. But I don’t want an hour with you. I don’t want one night.”
“What do you want?”
“Everything.” His desire for her made her knees buckle. “I want everything with you.”

He’s the bad boy quarterback, one scandal away from being traded.

She’s the squeaky-clean pop star with a morality clause hanging around her neck.

And they can’t keep their hands off each other.

Cassian Ellis fell in love with Gigi Cavanaugh when he was fourteen. But he couldn’t have her. His mentor — her dad — promised to take him out of detention and all the way to the pros. The price: stay away from his daughter.

But Gigi was embedded in his soul — there was no distancing himself from her. And, senior year in high school, in a moment of desperation when he couldn’t take all the want and love and lust, he ended things in the worst way possible.

Now, nine years later, he’s forced to do charity work to clean up his party boy image.

And guess who’s working right alongside him?

Gigi can’t believe her bad luck. She’s on the same Dreams Come True tour as Cassian Ellis. And, with the press recording their every move, she has to pretend to like the man who tore out her heart and stomped all over it.

But Cassian couldn’t be happier since he never stopped loving her. And he’s determined to win her back. Only, someone’s leaking photographs, and headlines about the bad boy quarterback corrupting the squeaky-clean pop star could sink both their dreams.

Can their love overcome all the world has put between them?

REVIEW:IT WAS ALWAYS YOU is the fifth instalment in Erika Kelly’s contemporary, adult CALAMITY FALL erotic, romance series. This is NFL quarterback Cassian Ellis, and musician/pop princess Gigi Cavanaugh’s story line. IT WAS ALWAYS YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Cassian and Gigi) IT WAS ALWAYS YOU follows the second chance romance between twenty six year old, childhood best friends NFL quarterback Cassian Ellis, and musician/pop princess Gigi Cavanaugh. Nine years earlier Cassian Ellis and Gigi Cavanaugh were entering their final year of high school; childhood best friends whose relationship was about to be destroyed by betrayal, secrets, and a father’s need to protect the daughter he loves, and the young man he always thought of as a son. Fast forward to present day wherein both Cassian and Gigi have made a name for themselves in their respective careers but too much bad press, and paparazzi photos forces our couple onto a Dreams Come True Tour, a foundation for at risk and sick kids. What ensues is the rebuilding friendship and relationship between Cassian and Gigi, and the potential fall-out as old habits die hard for our story line hero.

Cassian Ellis has a reputation as a playboy both on and off of the field but compromising photos threaten Cassian’s career, photos he knows were set up in an effort to destroy his career. Working alongside the woman he has never stopped loving finds Cassian struggling to be the man he knows Gigi still loves, a man whose life is spiralling out of control. Gigi Cavanaugh desperately wants to move beyond the pop princess lifestyle but her contract for one more album forces Gigi to stick with her label, a label that is all about appearances and perception. Discovering she has never stopped loving Cassian Ellis is bittersweet when he tells her the truth about what happened years before. Unable to let go of the past, Gigi battles between head and heart with her feelings and emotions towards our story line hero.

The relationship between Cassian and Gigi is a rekindling romance; a second chance romance for two people pulled apart by good intentions that all ripped their heart, and crushed their souls. Cassian is desperate to prove he is worthy of Gigi’s love but someone is just as desperate to prove Cassian is not the man he is supposed to be. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to several of Cassian’s teammates including Xander Wilder, and Dean Maddox; cheerleader Amie Clover; musician Grant Banner; as well as Gigi’s father Coach Tyler Cavanaugh. A couple of the previous story line characters make a cameo appearance in the story line epilogue.

IT WAS ALWAYS YOU is a story of family, friendships, betrayal and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is heart breaking and emotional; the characters are colorful, energetic, and animated. IT WAS ALWAYS YOU is an imaginative and flirty story of second chances.
