Review:

Wicked all Night by Jeaniene Frost is the 3rd book in her Night Rebel trilogy.  I am a major fan of Jeaniene Frost and her Night Huntress series, as well as her spin offs in that world, which is also Night Rebel.  When I started reading the Night Rebel series, I was surprised at finding myself totally loving Ian, the man we used to hate in her Night Huntress series.  After two books, I love Ian and Veritas, another bad ass. In the last book, Veritas and Ian, managed to defeat and kill Dagon, their worst enemy.

Wicked all Night begins with Veritas doing everything in her power to save Ian, including trying to find her father.  She is approached by a golden god named Phanes, who was the original intended betrothal force upon her by her father.  Phanes says he will help find her father, if she comes with him to show off his betrothed to his people. Veritas figuring, she will be gone 24 hours, though later learns in his world, time is different (24 hours equals months).

Ian and her brother Ashael manage to find Veritas, much to Phanes surprise, and Ian manages to rise up and defeat everything Phanes throws at him. Phanes agrees to take her to her father in the netherworld, where he tricks them and leaves them trapped unable to leave.  But fortunately for Veritas, her father will help them leave, but they have to find the two gods who escaped with Phanes.

What follows is an exciting, nonstop action and an amazing story that has Veritas and Ian working together to find Phanes and the two escapees. They will find themselves in dangerous situations throughout the book, coming up against powerful enemies.  It was great to get to see our favorites, who come to help them; Cat, Bones, Mencheres, Spade, Vlad, Denise, Marie. These are fantastic characters from Jeaniene that we have come to love.  So wonderful to see them again.

Veritas and Ian approach both Marie and the Vampire Council to convince them to help fight these evil destructive gods.  Ian mostly proves to the council that Veritas is innocent of the crimes they accuse her of, and convinces them to change the rules, allowing Veritas to be safe and free. When they face the villians, everyone will join the fight, and Ian implores Veritas to use her god like power to defeat them.

The last half of the book was exciting, intense, pulse pounding non-stop action, as we raced to the battle filled climax.  Wicked All Night was also sexy, fun, with our wonderful favorite characters to enjoy, and I loved every moment of it.   Ian and Veritas turned out to be a fabulous couple with a strong connection and scorching chemistry.  I absolutely adore Jeaniene Frost and these fantastic worlds she’s has created; I can’t wait to see what she has instore for us next.

Review:

Wicked Bite by Jeaniene Frost is the 2nd book in her Night Rebel series. Being a major fan of Frost’s Night Huntress, I was thrilled to return to this world in the first book, Shades of Wicked.  Ian, the man we loved to hate, was the hero, and to my surprise, I did fall in love with Ian and Veritas.  The first book ended in a cliffhanger, making Wicked Bite a highly anticipated read.

Veritas, our heroine, managed to save Ian’s life by freeing his soul from the demon, Dagon, and was determined to find him and kill him.  In order to prevent Ian from looking for her, she put a spell on Ian to block his memories that they were married, and went searching for Dagon.

Ian, our hero, is slowly starting to remember things, and is desperate to find Veritas. He decides to go on his own, especially with his new found powers (teleporting, etc), and ignores his friends (Bones, Cat, Mencheres, Leila, Vlad ) trying to stop him.  It is always great to spend time with those we loved from the previous series.  Ian will go through any lengths to find Veritas, as he can feel their bond.

What follows is an exciting, nonstop action and an amazing story that has Veritas and Ian working together to find the Dagon. They will find themselves in dangerous situations throughout the book, coming up against powerful enemies.  There were so many different forces trying to stop them, but I loved how Ian convinced Veritas that their passion was real, and to use all of her god like powers to defeat the enemy, as he will always be there for her.  Emotional and so very well done.  To tell too much more would be spoilers, as this is one book you need to read for yourself.  Veritas and Ian are so worth it.

The last half of the book was exciting, dangerous, sexy, fun and I loved every moment of it, as I raced to finish the book.  The romance was intensely passionate, and I absolutely loved Ian and Veritas together.    Wicked Bites was another fantastic addition to this wonderful series.   I will add that there is another sort of a cliffhanger, though the story does come to a nice conclusion with a new problem to be explored in the next book. Kudos to Jeaniene Frost for giving us a super couple, whom we never imagined loving and rooting hard for them.

Master vampire Ian is unrepentant, shameless…and every shade of wicked. He’s made one too many enemies in his two centuries of existence, including Dagon, a demon who now lays claim to his soul. Ian’s only chance to escape Dagon is to join forces with a Law Guardian, but he’s never been able to abide by the rules for long.

As they scour supernatural hotspots to perfect their trap, Veritas soon realizes Ian’s devil-may-care, roguish image hides something much more powerful. And Ian discovers that Veritas has shocking secrets of her own. As they’re drawn to each other with a passion as intense as their peril, either love or justice will prevail. But each will have devastating consequences…

Review:

Shades of Wicked by Jeaniene Frost is the 1st book in her new Night Rebel series, which is a much anticipated spin off from her wonderful Night Huntress series. Being a major fan of Frost’s Night Huntress, as well as her other spinoffs (Night Prince/ World), I could not wait to read Ian’s story. He is indeed the star in Shades of Wicked.

Ian, our hero in this series, is a master vampire that you love to hate, though he is considered friends to our previous heroes in Bones, Cat, Mencheres, and even Vlad (well he hates him, but will help him if needed), just to name a few. He is totally wicked in every way, but he is also loyal to his friends. Ian is desperate, as he knows his days are numbered, since he bargained his life and soul to a dangerous demon, who is waiting for the day when Ian willingly gives up his soul.

Veritas, our heroine, is a Law Guardian and vampire, who we have come to know as one strong powerful tough cookie, who always abides by the rules. But she has a secret that will make her find Ian, and get him to work with her.  Seems she wants vengeance against the same demon, Dagon that holds Ian’s soul.

At first Ian wants nothing to do with Veritas, but she convinces him to work with her to destroy Dagon, which will be benefit both of them, as together they are strong enough to defeat him. Neither one of them trust each other, and when Dagon gets closer to finding Ian, they begin to work together to find a way to set up a trap for the demon.

What follows is an amazing story that puts together two unlikely people totally different, that will develop into a slow built romance that no one could ever imagine.  Ian has always been an egotistic manwhore, and Veritas is the opposite. But along the way, they each begin to learn more about each other; their pasts & secrets that made them what they were today.  Bravo to Jeaniene Frost for making us fall for both of them and have us rooting hard that they will stay together.  But will they?

The last half of the book was exciting, dangerous, sexy, fun and I loved every moment of it, as I raced to finish the book.  The romance was intensely passionate, and to my amazement I loved them together.  Shades of Wicked is a fantastic start to this new series.   I will add that there is sort of a cliffhanger, which is making me so impatient for the next book. You need to read this series.  Bravo again, Jeaniene Frost.
