ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 9 2021

If you knew beyond all doubt that one chance encounter would change the course of your future, what would you choose?

There’s nothing like a spring day in Boston to make your heart sing. I’m out with my girls, having drinks in a bar, enjoying the bright pulse of our beautiful city, when I see Caleb. The second my eyes meet his, I know this is the moment when everything will change. All I have to do is choose him.

I meet Whitney on the worst day of my life. I’ve always been an adrenaline junkie, but I never knew how fast things could change. Her soft gaze melts my cynicism, makes me forget the bitter man I was becoming. She makes me want to be the version of myself that I see in her eyes. All she has to do is choose this life.

When We Met takes Whitney and Caleb on the ride of their lives, hitting every note on the scale of beauty and tragedy along the way. USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann will make you question everything you thought you knew about love and fate, and this unforgettable story will leave you certain that destiny always finds a way.

REVIEW:  If you need a book to reconnect, this is it. When We Met is more than an emotional tilde wave, it’s a journey through the pain of loss and coming out the other side. There aren’t enough hankies in the world to wipe up the tears you’re going to cry while reading this.

Whitney and Caleb met by chance, no apps, no online line dating profiles; simple chance. That chance turned into a life altering, life saving journey to the one thing that makes time worth passing.

Love.

Like many of Marni’s books, I got a little lost in the inner workings of how it’s formatted, but the story. The story is simply; Muhaw! Chiefs Kiss, beautiful. The struggle of Caleb after his accident, the will of steel that Whitney must have to help him. Her kindness and his determination, their story of bonding together to first survive, but them to open up and live life with a new outlook. Its amazing. The ending had me in sobs! The emotion is so real, you feel everything with the characters as if you were in the room with the.

Marni’s books always make me cry, I know the second I see it loading on my ereader that I’m going to look like a hot mess from all the tears, but I also know that my heart is going to be touched and I’m going to feel connected again. Marni’s gifts isn’t just her talent with words; it’s also her gift of connection, and for that reason I will always buy her books.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 22, 2019

From USA Today bestselling author Marni Mann comes Before You, a devastating examination of the things we find, the things we make, and the things we lose.

It was supposed to be a typical work trip. New York to San Francisco, window seat, exit row. Maybe a mimosa.

Then, seat 14B sat down. When our eyes met, the flight became anything but routine.

I could pinpoint the moments in my life where everything changed forever.

Meeting Jared on that flight was first.

Falling in love with him was second.

Discovering the secrets he kept was third.

Putting my broken self back together and forgetting what I learned would be difficult. Forgiving Jared would be impossible.

He said, before me, nothing mattered. But after him, nothing would ever be the same.

REVIEW: Marni Mann, who are you, and what have you done to my soul?!

I am at a loss for words. I have NEVER read a story that has settled into my bones and left me speechless, and that is saying something. This was a first time read for this author and I have been thoroughly mind f*cked, left to ponder, ugly cry, crawl into a corner and sob for days. I refuse to give away spoilers, this is a story that you simply must read to get the goodness, but I promise you, it will change you as a reader. It did for me.

The intensity, the secret, the heartbreak, the soul crushing love, this story is a Hallmark movie, a romance movie and a tragedy all rolled into one, topped with a dollop of lusty sex. Billie and Jared are two of the best characters I have ever had the pleasure to read about, their emotions, their interactions with one another, and the pain that they experience together, it’s so real.

This story is one that people will read for years and years to come. This is simply a one click buy for sure, you won’t regret it!

“Are you willing and able to help in the event of an emergency situation?” the flight attendant asked as she stood beside our row. She had appeared directly after the announcement that informed us that all of the passengers were now on board the plane to San Francisco and the pilots were doing their final preparations before Flight 88 pulled away from the gate.
“Yes,” I answered, and I should have gone back to the article on the housing market in lower Manhattan that I’d started when I was waiting to board. Instead, my eyes were on her.
The girl in seat 14A.
She had dark hair that went well past her shoulders, a patch of freckles under each of her eyes, and lips that were pouty and full. She wasn’t beautiful. She was exquisite.
And she had no idea at all.
In the forty-seven years I’d been alive, I’d learned something about women. There were those you couldn’t help but look at and those you just shouldn’t look at.
She was both.
That was rare.
“Yes,” she replied to the flight attendant, and then she looked at me.
Before all of the interruptions, she had asked why I was going to California. I finally answered, “Some work, some pleasure. And yourself?”
“Same.” Her eyelids narrowed. “Are you from Manhattan? I don’t detect an accent.”
I felt the paper in my hands and knew there was no way I could go back to it. Not yet at least, not with her fiery green gaze on me.
“When you’ve lived in New York for as long as I have, you tell people you’re from there. It’s easier.”
She laughed, and it caused me to keep staring at her. “I’ve been here a while, too, and I agree. Once New York becomes home, you seem to forget everywhere else you’ve lived.” She tucked some hair behind her ear. “Why is that?”
When I’d asked my assistant to book this flight, I hadn’t considered flying commercial would put me in a position for conversation, like the one she’d just started. I hadn’t thought much about the actual flight at all besides knowing I had to be on it.
But now that I was here, I had no idea what the fuck I was thinking.
I really shouldn’t be going to San Francisco at all.
I looked away from her to glance up ahead. The main door was closed, telling me it was too late to get off the plane. The only thing I could do at this point was get some air.
I excused myself, halfway to my feet, knowing we were minutes from leaving the gate and supposed to be in our seats, and I went down the aisle. “I’ll be quick,” I said to one of the flight attendants as she approached me, and I continued to the lavatory.
When I got inside, I locked the door behind me, guessing I had about thirty seconds before I heard a knock.
If I were in any other restroom, I would have washed my face, but I wasn’t going to do that with the water from a plane. What I needed from this tight, crammed space was to catch my breath.
Because all of it had been sucked out of me, and there wasn’t any air to be found in row fourteen.

Alix and I were standing outside Quincy Market, holding our to-go boxes of chocolate cake, opened, with several forkfuls missing from each piece. I’d asked about her shift, which had started at midnight, and she was telling me about one of the calls she had been on. It involved an elderly couple, married for sixty-seven years. The husband had fallen down a short flight of stairs. Alix believed he had fractured his hip.
She stared at the cake as she spoke. And I gazed at her, checking out the way she speared off another bite. How she stuck the fork between her lips.
How the utensil came out of her mouth clean.
It was incredibly sexy.
So was she.
She didn’t even have to try. It came natural to her.
As natural as her looks.
A beauty that went so deep, she didn’t need makeup to enhance it.
She didn’t wear much of it anyway. There wasn’t anything on her lips, no color on her lids, just thick lashes and some pink on her cheeks.
She had no idea how gorgeous she was.
If I told her, I was sure she wouldn’t believe me.
Alix’s confidence came when she talked about her job.
I could tell how much she loved it by the passion in her voice, by the way she described how she’d helped the old man.
What she did was something I hadn’t been able to visualize at first. Now that I’d spent more time with her, it was all I could see.
Damn it, I wanted to touch her.
I’d kept my hands off of her while she was eating the gyro and fries.
But I didn’t want to wait any longer.
Once she swallowed the mouthful, I said, “Alix …”
I needed her eyes on me to see the way she would look at me, how she would respond to the sound of my voice.
That would determine if I could reach for her right now or if I’d have to wait.
Her stare slowly lifted and landed on mine.
Shyness was peeking through her expression.
Still, every sign was there—the desire in her glare, the increased breathing, the way her tongue was swiping across her lips. It wasn’t frosting she was licking off because there wasn’t any there.
I dropped the small box of cake on the ground. She didn’t watch it fall, but when she heard the sound, I saw the hunger in her grow.
I took a step.
He did, too, in the opposite direction at the same time she dropped her cake.
She said nothing as I continued to move toward her, backing her up to the side of the building until her body was pressed against it.
As I stood inches away, I lifted my hands to the top of her head where they pushed into the brick. “You can stop me.”
Her voice was soft, not weak, as she looked up at me and said, “I’m not sure I can.”

REVIEW

5 out of 5 for this reader folks!

OMG Marni Mann!  LOVED THIS!  I thought Derek was hot .. but Trapper .. OH MY!  LOL

Wild Aces by Marni Mann is a spin off of her Unblocked series.  It centers around Brea (Frankie’s friend) and Trapper.  I absolutely loved Derek and Frankie together so I knew that if Marni gave Brea and Trapper half of that kind of of chemistry, then I would be happy!  Well it was a heck of a lot more than half and I now have a new book boyfriend!  LOL

Brea is now partner to Frankie in the real estate world and seems to have taken on the attitude that life is all about all work.  It’s all she does.  Her BFF Frankie has fallen in love and is living the life that captures the best of both worlds, and Brea is envious and starting to think she needs this as well.  As much as she loves her work, she feels something missing and is restless because of it.

Trapper is a professional poker player, straight up hard ass and smexy as all hell and has some serious demons.  He is a dirty talker, makes no apology for who he is and as it turns out, he is quite taken with this mysterious woman he has met at Derek and Frankie’s masquerade party.

The chemistry is off the charts where Trapper and Brea are concerned, and while the masks remained on during their encounter it didn’t really matter.  As Trapper had to head out to Las Vegas right after the party, the encounters continued via technology but still without revealing their faces.  When the real “stripped of mystery encounter” happens .. OMG .. well done Marni is all I have to say!  LOL

This story is told from both Trapper and Brea, which I personally love as you get to peek inside both their minds.  Both are dealing with some serious  &^^&% personally, but when they are together it’s like they are given permission to heal.  I am sure you gather that they are off the charts sexy and let me tell you, Marni has a serious talent for build up lusty moments and then delivering the big bang.  LMAO!  I especially loved the snippets of Derek and Frankie that we get as well, and while I highly recommend that you read the Unblocked series, to enjoy this book you do not need to.  I happen to love that I got some personal jokes and meanings though because I had read the Unblocked series .. depends on what you like!

So Marni Mann was bumped on my “must read” list a while back and this only solidifies why.  Serious, concrete all around amazing story, that is full of all I covet in my contemporary erotic reading.  Page turning, captivating and “I just melted in a serious puddle because that was fricken hot”, I highly recommend this author and this book!

HAPPY READING! 🙂

REVIEW

5 out of 5 for this reader folks!

I am in complete and utter denial that this series is over .. I know Marni Mann will do a 6 and a 7 and a ….. my balloon of fantasy popped because this really was the end. SIGH

Alright .. now that I am done with the dramatics, I have to say this was by far one of the best serial series I have ever read. Please go and read my past reviews to get a good grasp on this story as I am not going to review the entire serial here, but only Unblocked #5 the final episode on the Timber Tower Series.

Derek and Frankie have finally gotten their you know what together and seem to have bonded to face the greater evil. Derek knows in order to keep Frankie, he is going to have to spill his guts, secrets, and feelings and lay it all out. There is a fear that Frankie will reject him after she learns what he has been plotting. Frankie also has her past to face and you get to see her finally saying what needs to be said and take a stand she should of taken a while ago.

This ending came together brilliantly, and Marni really hit a grand slam in giving us readers the ending we wanting and the answers we were desperate for. Reading this ending was like seeing all the pieces to a puzzle come together. So much character growth, trust, security and self assurance was portrayed by both the leads. I have to say that those love scenes were very .. er … cough … umm, LOVING! Actually loving is being too kind .. they were BEAUTIFULLY DIRTY and absolutely TOE CURLING! Derek likes his dirty talk, and Rachel (that’d be me) likes to read it! LOL

I really am sad this has come to an end, but very pleased that all my questions were answered. I loved the business and architecture aspect of this serial but much of that has to do with the way Derek and Frankie were portrayed!

Can’t wait for your next book Marni as you have proven time and again I can always rely on you for an awesome read!

HAPPY READING! 🙂

REVIEW:

5 out of 5 for this reader folks!

Oh MAN … this story is about to blow apart .. I LOVE IT!

Unblocked #4  by Marni Mann is the fourth story in her serial series “Timber Towers“. We are almost at an end to this series and the you know what is about to hit the fan.  This book is where Derek and Frankie have to lay down the line and make a decision one way or another about where this relationship is going and how one feels for the other.

Sure there is lots of lust, but is there something concrete and deeper?  Knowing that Frankie has doubts, Derek decides to take her away and open himself up to her.  He intends to come clean with all, and when his annoying ex who is up to no good tries to ruin their private vacay he knows that he has to take care of his revenge business swiftly if he is going to truely give Frankie all she wants.

Marni leaves us with another cliffhanger and she peeled back a few layers of secrets that is our amazing Derek.  You can sense there is much more and I am anxious to find out what he is all about.  Once again, she nails the toe curling, yummy hot scenes.  Very eager for the conclusion to this serial.

“Tonight is about us, no one else, and that’s the way I want it to stay. No more interruptions,” Derek said.
I took a deep breath and reached for my wine. I wasn’t going to let my brain jump to conclusions. This weekend was about us. Not Taylor. Not Reed. “I agree.”
He leaned into the table, his hand moving higher up my leg. “Kiss me.”
We weren’t in a back booth, and this restaurant wasn’t nearly as private as The Hole. There were more servers, a more open floor plan, many other tables close by. What he was asking for was much more than the peck I had given him before I’d gone to the bathroom. “Those fingers,” I said, placing my hand on top of them, “aren’t planning on going any higher, are they?”He licked his bottom lip, teasing me with just the swipe of his tongue and the whiskers that surrounded it. “They weren’t, no. But now that I know it’s on your mind, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop them.”

REVIEW

5 out of 5 for this reader folks!

OH ME OH MY Marni Mann.  I am so LOVING this series and you totally left me lying like a big pile of gush with this latest release!

This review of Unblocked is for the third episode of this novella serial series.  In the last episode we were left with Derek and Frankie realizing that there was no future to be together, and with Frankie seeing a woman leaving Derek’s place (a woman that is quite significant to her past relationship with her ex).  Both try to remain professional but when you know what hits the fan, Derek realizes that one night will never be enough, and now he wants to lay claim on Frankie.  Boy does he ever lay claim !  LOL

We learn the devastating history that Frankie has been living with and her ex is trying to jump back in the picture .. Derek will be having NONE of that.  In the midst of all of this, Frankie is trying to do her best to deliver her “A” game selling Derek’s property, Derek is setting up some kind of revenge on a rival and trying to keep tabs on Frankie and her ability to run away.

We are left with a major cliffhanger … BAD BAD Marni (LOVE LOVE LOVE it .. WINK) and I am so excited for the continuation of this story.  Super HOT scenes that have topped the first two episodes, and another round of the blow up chemistry between our leads, I love the set up for this story as much as I love the rest of the yummy that goes along with it!

She had worn it today and that told me everything I needed to know. “Because Frankie, I don’t believe you really want things between us to end.” Her cheeks darkened and her pupils began to dilate with need. “If you tell me you don’t want me, I’ll…” She had to know I would respect her despite what I wanted. “…I’ll put you down and I’ll leave your condo. What happened between us won’t affect what we have professionally. I promise. But if you want me, then—”

Review:

5 out of 5 for this reader folks!

I HATE serial series!
I LOVE serial series!
I SUPER LOVE THIS serial series!

Ok, so I admit when I read a serial series that I wait for the entire series to be completed and then marathon read it so any cliffhangers do not leave me hanging for long .. BUT .. when you are reviewing a series as it is being released you certainly do not have that option … so here I am hanging super high from this cliff, cursing Marni Mann and eagerly anticipating the next episode.  SIGH!  LOL

Unblocked is Part Two of Marni Mann‘s serial series call Timber Towers.  It is the continuation of Derek and Frankie’s story and let me tell you, my e-reader was steaming (or maybe that was me .. WINK).  Frankie is the top real estate agent in her city and is about to land a major contract of Derek’s building.  These two have instant chemistry, and severe attraction between them, but both have concerns with regards to keeping their relationship strictly professional.  Well one taste is all it takes for the personal and professional lines to become blurred.

This episode was a little but more revealing.  We are being set up for a juicy revenge plot, a past Frankie cannot seem to get away from and a massive battle between heart and will.  You know that Derek may believe in black and white thinking (one night Derek .. really???), but when it comes to Frankie there is a whole lot of shade.

Major cliffhanger with this one and I CAN’T WAIT for the next!

HAPPY READING! 🙂

“I held her wrists above her head and leaned down so she could feel my words, not just hear them. “I give you what I want, when I want – my fingers, my mouth, my tongue…” My hand dropped to my zipper. I fisted the crotch of my jeans. “Even my fucking cock. Understood?”
I expected her to pull back, but her focus seemed to soften as her eyes traveled down my stomach and settled on my hand. I released the bulge so she could get a better look at my dick.
She licked her lips. “Got it.”
I knelt on the bed and straddled her body, holding her hands against the headboard. I had made a special request for this bed, I wanted something wooden, with slats on the headboard, carved and sanded, so the finish was smooth on all four sides. I knew she could handle the rubbing, but I didn’t want her skin cut or splintered.
“You’re not going to tie me up…”
I weaved the flannel around her wrists and secured the knots to the headboard. “I’m not?” The shirt was tight enough to prevent her from moving, but loose enough to allow circulation.
She glanced at my handiwork. “You warned me that you would do this…I never thought you really would.”
“Don’t ever doubt me, Frankie. I always keep my promises.”
