REVIEW:LACED IN POISON is the eleventh instalment in Crimson Syn’s contemporary, adult RBMC: NATIONAL CHAPTER NEW ORLEANS dark, erotic, MC romance series, set in the multi-authored RBMC worlds, a cross over instalment with the multi-authored ROYAL HARLOTS MC interconnected series. This is nomad Benjamin ‘Legion’ Harper, and toxicologist Dr. Lantana Cruz’s story line. LACED IN POISON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from five first person perspectives (Legion, Lantana, Duchess, Hoax, Jameson) LACED IN POISON follows Benjamin ‘Legion’ Harper as he is tasked with investigating and searching for the source of an unknown toxin, a toxin taking down a select few individuals in New York City. New York is the home of the National Chapter of the Royal Harlots MC, and Legion’s arrival comes unannounced and unwelcome. Our hero finds himself seducing the woman suspected of developing the poison, but Legion never expected to fall in love. The Royal Harlots MC member Latana Cruz has a doctorate in toxicology, and is the RBMC’s prime suspect in a series of poisonings in New York city, and as such, president of the New Orleans National Chapter Jameson sends in one of his best to search for the truth but all does not go according to plan when Legion’s identity is discovered, and Lantana is determined to make him pay for not telling the truth. Meanwhile, Legion’s foray into the underground world of death, drugs and destruction brings with it a familiar foe, and the possibility of a potential war on the horizon.
The world building focuses on the hunt for a killer. Someone is targeting a select group of people, and laying the blame on the Royal Harlots MC. A possible betrayal or a determined killer, a mysterious toxin of unknown origins is threatening the world and the Royal Harlots MC. Duchess, the President of the Royal Harlots MC is none too amused when she discovers the involvement of the RBMC, and the deception does not go unpunished.
The relationship between Legion and Lantana begins acrimoniously as Legion establishes himself in New York, and the investigation into Lantana Cruz. Lantana will feel humiliated and betrayed, and enacts her own form of retribution on the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the RBMC: New Orleans, and Royals Harlots MC New York. We are introduced to Lantana’s mother Lourdes, as well as newcomer Vespera. The requisite evil has many familiar faces.
LACED IN POISON is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and madness, power and control, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is provocative; the characters determined, desperate and compelling.

My name is Crimson Syn, not really, but what fun is it to use my real name. Instead I’ll use my inner goddess’ name, it’s much more fun that way. I grew up in New York City where I had a wonderful education, loving parents and awesome friends. What more could a girl ask for?
I started writing at the age of sixteen. The first romance I read was Stephanie Laurens’ Devil’s Bride. Since then I have been influenced by dozens of flourishing romance authors and even more dashing and daring rogues. I must say it, but Fifty Shades was not my first erotic romance, nor did it influence me to start writing them. If you’ve never read Mary Balogh, Elizabeth Hoyt, Lisa Kleypas, Bertrice Small or A.N. Roquelaure’s Sleeping Beauty trilogy, then you’re missing out. Those were my sweet introductions to erotic romance, and boy were they hot.
So here I am, after reading so many wonderful stories, I have too many sinful tales of my own not to share. I like my alphas rough and possessive, and I have no shame in saying it or writing it. I had delightfully wicked teachers growing up, their books took me to new worlds and brought me new loves. So, I want to do the same for you. I want to indulge my readers in those steamy reads that will send them into the arms of dangerous alphas and deliciously sexy rogues, without leaving the confines of their nice warm bed. If I am able to entice your inner goddesses, then I have done my job and I am satisfied.
